Has anyone had tattoo laser removal? Did it hurt? Did it leave a scar?

I've heard it's like when you cook sausages and the fat spits on you - ouch!!

In the middle

A friend of mine had a hand tattoo removed and he said it was like being flicked with an elastic a band repeatedly so I guess it's rather uncomfortable depending where it is and how big

Newcastle

I also know someone who had it done...regardless of the pain I think it's best to have a free consultation to explore just how successful the procedure is likely to be and how much it's likely to cost. Different colours disburse at different rates and home tatts don't disburse at the same rate as professional tatts. My friend paid a fortune and was still left with the shadow of some of the tatts!

I've had one "removed" with laser the reason I put it in quotations is because after having 8 sessions it looks like a small bruise.

Mine was reasonably small at the top of my arm and it's does feel like elastic bands or small electric shocks obviously depending on where you have the tattoo removed. Size, pain threshold but for me it really wasn't as bad as I thought.

Top tip unless its a homemade tattoo don't be fooled into thinking it will be gone after 1 session (I was very disappointed) the average is 12 - 14 sessions and there is no guarantee it will be completely gone. Also it's advised to leave between 4 - 6 weeks from each session.

So for me personally it will be 2 years and 12 - 14 sessions but worth it.

Hope that's helpful and good luck x

That's very helpful, thank you.

Mine is quite solid in colour so I think it will take a few sessions.
