Can we have some new threads about "cagers" or "lycra louts".

With 40 odd years of riding just about everything just about everywhere there's few who would beat me on a biker top trumps thing, so *if* you could draw any parallels from that you'd think I'd be an absolutely ace shag for 99.9% of the fab population, that's assuming the premise that biker = randy stud had any validity at all.

Back in the day before goretex and everything us long distance dispatchers knew of a thing in winter called bikers cock, you got so cold in winter in a bid to keep the core temperature above minimum the body pulled blood from the extremities, get home and crawl in bed and shiver for four fours... *forget* about getting a hardon, even with the bisexual twins.

Then you had all the trimph riders, banned from the blood donation clinic because of frothy blood, banned from all the golf club keys in a bowl dos because of frothy sperm

Meh, git orf my lawn...

Reason being, seeing people dressed in shiny leathers and riding fast kind of turns me on. Haven't got a bike myself but going to try get a bike licence. Would love to have a go ride on the back of a powerful sports bike. One of my fantasies.

Must confess to some on the 16/71 but Yogi is an old twinkie softail and if you try to use any more than 80% of the tyre width you're no longer shiny side up.

Her indoors (my old ride) tr1 bobber you can almost touch the bar ends down, 50 degree lean angle either side before the folding pegs touch

Got the same bike here ^_^

Tyres on it are some old awful bridgestones though that i don't trust.

But as it's nostly spending its time communting/motorway work they can stay on till the rear wears out then theyre going to angel GTs and we'll see how well it really handles ^_^

They are if you are 5'4" and fit the streamlining they were built for. but the design has been superceded, with many newer licence eaters capable of propelling over weight and over sized riders to 186MPH these days.

MrsJ has a Yam fz1

MrJ builds his own but amongst others has a road legal 1340cc turbo (plus nitrous) bike. Not the most practical road bikes since it only returns an average of 12 miles/gallon.

There's at least one public pic of ours posing on the fz1.

The new striples are great: especially if you want an insane street bike.

As an all rounder, the Tiger 800 is outstanding.

Entirely different bikes in terms of delivery and balance of Torque vs power; but you can still go pretty fast and furiously on the T800.

I've not ridden a T800 yet, liked the stripple but I do a lot of city riding so prefer a more upright position

If you are wanting to do city/ commuting, plus fun days out, and a bit of scratching, then the Tiger roadie is a brilliant all rou der; if you want to add a bit of touring to that its difficult to beat.

"The new striples are great: especially if you want an insane street bike.

If you are wanting to do city/ commuting, plus fun days out, and a bit of scratching, then the Tiger roadie is a brilliant all rou der; if you want to add a bit of touring to that its difficult to beat."

I'm going to give one a test ride when the weather warms up a little

Glad this thread has kept going.

A miserable day like today makes you appreciate the lovely warmer weather and warm tarmac!

So looking forward to releasing the Blade! Lol

I really want it to be summer again, I'm sick of having to put on 47 layers of clothing every time I get on the bike. An having to clean it every time I get off the bike

"Can we have some new threads about "cagers" or "lycra louts".

Right about the DR stuff though, the shivers & pain as the feeling came back into fingers & toes is something I won't forget. Then I splashed out on a set of Rukka waterproofs & spent all winter cold with the collar open or sweating my bollox off when it was -2c

Couldn't bloody win!!

Me too, I have an old K100RS 4valve. Never cold on a brick no matter what the weather.

Heat is an issue on the summer though.

My other toys are an 84 CBX750 & a TL1080s (will be one day anyway).

Love the BMW rechargable heated clothing, don't like the prices though lol.

The shortarse version is very good, but it does look a bit odd.

I really like the F series adventure, at least to look at. My last "Sleeper" was an old Yamaha XTZ750 with engine, carbs & loom from a TRX850. I had to lower that as i'm little. It did surprise some when picking up its skirt.

Triumph do a shortarse version of the tiger 800, I've not ridden it but sat on one and i felt secure (sometimes if a bike is too tall you feel precarious)

I know the new street triple has a shortarse version too. I have riden a normal one and was ok on that but would be better if it was lower

I'm very lucky as I have free access to a neighbours fleet for the odd Summer Sunday blast, one of them is a zx12r another an RSV4

But I must be a bit warped as I still prefer my TL I'm on my fourth & want another to go with it when I have some spare pennies.

It’s been very slipping the last few days, lots of black ice. Also the salt they put down when it gets damp is sloppy in itself. I noticed I wheel span on a couple of occasions.

Noticed when riding yesterday that the roads were quite slippery & had guessed it was probably the road salt. In fact, the road was even quite slippery under foot

Though 'riding' it isn't the best description......

20 years ago I had an EXUP RU, king of the hill at the time

The Daytona makes more power, weighs less & is 327cc's less
