An explosion and gunshots have been heard at Ataturk Airport in the Turkish capital

Many injured & being transported via taxi to hospitals

10 killed so far at airport, 40 injured in 2 explosions

sorry, news just in they have adjusted the numbers to 10 killed, 20 injured

no flights in or out; if you are due to fly, contact your air flight provider

Awful night, finally got through to my Son & Girlfriend this morning they had flew out hours before this happened. I can't even contemplate what it must be like for the poor people who never get that phone call. Cowardly Bastards

I've used this airport a number of times and security at it is far tighter than we have in most European airports. Bags are scanned before they are allowed into the building, and the first reports are that the attack started in this area where there are normally queues.
