Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Than to change your mind?

Have you ever changed your mind about something?

Let's try and keep it referendum free (we know no-one will ever change their mind about that) and discuss other aspects of life, love and the universe.

Ok you asked for it.

I saw my mate Dave walking down the street, he's only got one arm bless him.

I shouted "where you off to mate?"

"I'm going to change a light bulb" he replied

"Won't that be a bit difficult?" I said.

He shouts back "I've still got the receipt dickhead"

You really will need to change your mind about the lightbulb situation. Screw or bayonet mount?

I procrastinate so much before making a decision bt once I make that decision I stand by it, might not always be a good decision but it's all experience isn't it :')

I used to change my mind a lot but not now.

Well sometimes.

Quite often actually.

I didn't used to be like that.

I used to be decisive, now however I'm just not sure

It's all relative, some decisions are much easier than others to make.

i've been putting black lights all over my house, am tempted to put one in there too.

it's a bayonet one. just double and not triple though so i can use normal bulbs in it.

I'm not sure I could cope with black lights everywhere but enjoy your black lit bathroom - if you ever decide to go ahead.

Decisions about relatives can be some of the most difficult.

You can always change your mind if you're not happy with a decision.

I did about my ex, I disliked him when I first met him, then changed my mind. Should have stuck with my original thought process.

i'd better not, can't really see in the rooms i've put them in already. was my plan to get the kids to go to sleep earlier. which didn't work anyway.

plus i've got glow in the dark stickers all over my stair wall which won';t light up if i don't use a proper bulb.

Sometimes a decision can be changed but most of the ones I regret are irreversible... lol

You wouldn't regret them if they were reversible. All things are temporary. Circumstances will change.

Central

I think it's because we're typically complex people. We have what are often different, contrasting and conflicting needs, beliefs and goals. Having taken decisions we're often somewhat more at an inner peace, that just losing that is a big expectation. And if we've identified with something, linking it with our identity - who we are - we'll often resist change, as it's too closely linked to us, our core being and thus changing our mind is a form of attack against us. We'll possibly resist at all costs - it's too important.

Lightbulbs last so long now, it's a pleasure to not have to change them much. With my mind, my opinions etc, I like the lightbulb moments when I realise something new and different.
