I worked in Spain before the EU shengen agreement. No hoops to jump through other than the company that employed me had to employ 50% Spanish workers. Seemed sensible to me.

As I said on another thread we have 2 years ro renegotiate terms with countries.

It's in their interest to keep us on side, we employ at lot of Spanish workers in the NHS. & we are one of their main sources for tourism.

If it is complicated which I doubt it will be, people manage to work in non EU countries - like Australia. You'd just have third party companies that would help you apply. I imagine the company you were going over to work for would do a lot of it too.

It's not rocket science.

Strange how people work all over the world without free movement. Used to do in Europe without free movement too. Now you say it's impossible? How things change eh?

We don't know do we - nothing is decided. People have worked all over the world and still do. They can still travel on business there too, we aren't banned from flying in and out.

Isn't that what people on low wages are told, get a better job. One mp (can't remember who) said our workers should be more competitive. Now's the chance.

London and France

1. It won't change in the next 2 years.

2. It was always possible for non EU people to work in EU countries, it's just a visa, which can be sorted in a few hours. You just won't have the " automatic rights", that's all .
