Thankyou to all past and present serving members of our forces for what you have done and what you will continue to do.

Our son is in the Army and so proud of him, it hurts.

xx

Hard day for me (Princess)

My hubby made it home safe and we got married while I was 7 months pregnant.

Brother however was not allowed leave for my wedding day, days before giving birth I was in a state of panic, I knew it was Sean and I knew something was so wrong.

2 long hours into my "mental pregnancy breakdown" the phone rang. I knew.

Hubby answered and stayed quiet... it had been confirmed.

I don't know... 10 years on how I even manage to breathe some days.

I remember that feeling - just waiting for the communication blocks to be lifted. Wanting to know that they are ok.

We'd celebrated Christmas in October & the following day had loads of photos taken for my mum & stepdad. I had a 7 week old & 5 yr old. My brother flew out to Iraq mid-November. I've never been so grateful that his tank broke down. He lost so many friends in 1 day in a raid on a police station. It was Boxing Day 2006. Possibly the longest day of my life. But we were lucky & he came home.

My 3 granddads, stepdad, 3 uncles & brother have all served. My 14 yr old is an army cadet & considering joining up.

I'm very proud of our Armed Services xx

Well done and well said.

We have the finest armed forces in the world. All other nations know that.

Thank you to all our service personnel past and present.
