Im knocking off work early and going to the allotment to sow beetroot in the shed. Also looking forward to a delivery of ducks to go with the new chucks and cock. The cock is not gay which is a huge relief. And no I haven't been perving on them. You keep an egg in the laying chamber, then hold it up to the light and see if its got a developing chick in it

Then Im going out for Italian food this evening. I might have a bowl of shreddies now though.

When they're young tender leaves yeah - anything bigger is too hairy and bitter. I grow for the beet and have other salad crops. I couldnt get a carrot to germinate last year - so weird so Im not sowing directly into soil this year.
