"Surely UKIP should now disband, their job is done Exactly, he'll be a Tory soon" Well he's calling for a Brexit (hate that term, I'm just quoting) government. So that could well be a possibility that he could defect and become a Tory. Will have to win a bi-election or possibly a seat in a general election. As a former trader might be well positioned for Chancellor!!

Fortunately, there are many who voted leave who think he's dreadful too " Sorry but it is his victory, like him or loathe him he has spent many years campaigning for something he believes passionately for, without him there would not have been this vote, his party has some lunatics in it but he has defied all the hate and crap thrown at him, while I wouldnt agree with everything he says I have enormous respect for his bloody minded determination to win for his cause, this day is down to him getting the UK the chance to change our history and the majority agreed with him, agree with the result or not we should all be proud of the UK today, democracy has won, I wonder if the rest of europe's citizens are going to get the chance we had

Look up the definition of 'bitch' in the dictionary of gangsta rap if you are still confused. " No not confused in the slightest. The Tory party has a number of factions the strongest of which is the 1922 committee whose make up resembles a whos who of relics from the past who still believe we should never have given up the empire. They are like the god fathers of the right. All major policy decisions are run by them. It was in the last Tory Party that a referendum on EU membership would take place in the life of the parliament. So if that makes Dave a bitch (Gangam Style) then he is. Still does not make me think Nige is a success and if a victory is being claimed then I would argue its of a pyrrhic nature. On that note I am going et bibere cervisiam , et ridebit in nobis sanus ! Enjoy you evening!

We've now seen that UKIP is the natural home for most voters in England. " I think it's the natural home for older voters - and perhaps those in deprived areas in the north. I've been watching the results and the political fallout all day! The analysis of voting habits, as well as highlighting the gap between the young and the old - also highlighted that areas with a high percentage of well educated (ie degree level) residents also voted to remain in the EU - hence its divided the classes as well as the generations and England & Wales v Scotland & Ireland. Of course I could be wrong - all anyone can do now is guess what will happen - but I really do believe that those who come in to power will try to extricate themselves from him - as his party is still viewed by many as a racist extremist party - whether they agreed with him on leaving Europe or not!

" Yeah but you have to challenge the cause and effect. The economic benefits of the EU were not well distributed. Young, well educated people move to the areas what have the benefits (i.e south east) but we can't all live in London. Successive governments have neglected the north, Labour wanted to put them all on benefits to shut them up and Conservatives just offered a lot of rhetoric about a 'northern powerhouse' with no substance behind it. I believe they voted out because the benefits of the EU weren't reaching the North as they should be so the obviously didn't vote to retain something they can't see.

"Honesty and straightforwardness has no place in the 21st century, apparently." Nigel demonstrated that by saying extra funds for the NHS was a lie this morning.

" This ridiculous snippet is the only thing remainers are cleaning on to... She even phrased the question wrong and misquoted the actually bus campaign which said we 'could' spend it on the NHS...so two bit hack looking for a scoop..

"personal opinion is i like him he seems pretty straighforward & Knowledgeable, watch youtube of when members of the EU have been trying to grill him he always 1 step ahead, i think he will be (kind of) one of the best prime Minister's that never was. i would like for him attend the meetings with the EU for the next few years as i think He would Get the Best deal For US rather than Us being walked over by the Eu Would i Vote for UKIP in General Elections..., That all depends on the candidate and there policy's " Nigel attend a meeting

Maybe because it was cheaper with lower through life support costs and India rarely (if ever) pays a price premium for defence equipment and hence why it's got shit loads of Israeli and Russian stuff too. Not sure that one was much of a conspiracy!

Honestly, if we could pull something out the bag with China that would be the jewel in the Crown.

"I seem to remember a certain Gordon Brown revealing what he thought of the average voter during the election before last! Usual thing...if you disagree with someone then pretend they are beneath you. That's what has cost the Remain campaign this referendum...treating the electorate as too thick to make up their own minds!" The average voter is indeed a cretin. The skill of politics is communicating with cretins though. Everyone knows the rules when the campaigns started and one side did better than the other.

"Do I like Nigel Farage? Yes. Do I think he went a bit OTT in the referendum campaign? Yes. However, no matter which way you voted you have to thank him for giving you the opportunity. UKIP was a fringe party with very little support but his leadership pushed them into the mainstream, won the Euro election, and scared the pants off Cameron so much that he was forced to promise the referendum. For that I would push him for a knighthood. Many others less worthy are now called Sir. " If the Queen would push a sword through him, I could certainly get behind that.

"It seems the bitter losers need reminding that far from causing a split he's actually pulled together over half of the UK population and been a pivotal point of giving them exactly what they wanted . Pulled together half the UK population? How so?" 28% abstained so surely the reality would be that most are not in favour?

I expect most of them were too d*unk, high or engrossed in day time TV to give a shit about anyone else

He's a protest movement (i.e an outsider) you can't judge the success of a protest movement by the number of elections. If he'd won a lot he'd be the establishment and not the protest movement!!

"Promised £350m for NHS if we left EU. Backtracks post vote denying he said it. Caveat Emptor. I don't know why us tax payers have to fund a national education system if it produces people too thick to question the claims of politicans. We've made our collective decision and there was bullshit on both sides like every political debate since the dawn of time. " this may be true.... but if everyone knew it was a lie from the beginning and you have been telling anyone that would listen for the last 3 months.... least let the pretense of your "truth" last more than 10 hrs after people have voted... least have the decency to think more of people than thats a bit like having a front page splash on a story....... but having a 2 line retraction on page 7 when you finally admit you got it wrong........ which the mail, the express and the sun all had to do this week when they all linked an immigrant story to the eu referendum.... the thing is people DID question it time after time after time... and they lied to out faces every single time.... they lied.... they got busted and they still tried to double down on the lie.... they got busted again... and people on here still excuse the fact they lied by saying "well other people lied!!!!" i never want to head one more complaint about a married man lying about their status, or a person lie about their age.. or sexuality... or about a picture looking different, or a picture being them at all!!! because what we all did is condone a big fat fucking lie because it helped our chance!!! I said i wasn't going to get angry.. and its not you personally.... but call me frustrated as hell.... we are all now it this together so we have to try to make it work.... but to see people gloating over duping people isn't going to help the healing process... a little less ha ha ha... and a lot more humility would have been the way to go today... but i didn't see much in order....

"Immigration won't now be reduced according to the leave campaign. It will be controlled " i just think it was ironic that everyone was crowing about the UK having the worlds 5th largest economy,... and after the vote today and the consequence..... we are now the 6th largest.... being overtaken by france..... who are in the EU...... all people can keep doing is keep making them live up to every promise they made during this for the next 3 years.... and if by any chance they don't live up to every claim they made...vote them out... and that would be every tory AND labour mp who stood by those claims.... its not a party political issue... its a trusting politician issue for me now!

"Perhaps Fab should have an option to include political allegiances then we would have a better idea of who to avoid. Top of my avoid list would be any one who considered Farage to be anything other than a self promoting, lying opportunistic low life, followed by jingoistic, xenophobic UKIP supporters. There - I have nailed my colours to the mast so feel free to avoid me if you don't like my politics." I think your political views and summation of Nige and his cohorts are perfectly reasonable.
