Not Boris as i don't think they will take him seriously, have him maybe as part of it as you said above but there needs to be serious negotiators who do the nitty gritty.. Boris's antics as Mayor was often more about Boris grandstanding and saying things for which later he had to have someone explain as sure as hell he isn't the type of ego to apologise when he puts his foot in his mouth.. bit like Jeux Sans Frontieres, don't play your joker too early or in his case maybe not at all.. | |||

" I think a different structure is needed for these different times. Someone who will pull the country together and someone who will negotiate hard for us maybe aren't the same person. I have to say I was impressed by the speeches by Gisela, Boris and Michale yesterday. The right tone, calm and inclusive. And interestingly it was Boris that brought in the young Remainers. Gove I think will be a clever but passionate PM who can return some pride in Britain. Boris will have to prove himself by heading the Brexit negotiating team where I think a good brain and some clever tactics will be needed. This team must include Labour people like Gisela Stuart who was an outstanding orator and was never phased by the barbs and insults that came her way. I was very impressed by how she spoke in German part way through her speech at Manchester when the overall result was announced to hold out a hand to them. And yes she did translate! IDS, Grayling and even Farage deserve to be in that team. For me Cameron and Osborne should be led away quietly and put out to grass never to be seen again. (And I am a lifelong Tory). | |||

It really became about entrenched beliefs, like asking a protestant and a catholic to argue it out over religion and we all know how that ends!. If there's a lesson to be learned it's that we all need to move along with are "beliefs" working together.... Cameron said in his manifesto to offer a referendum simply as a way to get elected. If he'd been confident in his OWN ability and that of his party enough last election, then he wouldn't have had to have offered a referendum and we wouldn't be here now. He's fucked the country up economically, in the short term at least and might cause the UK to split. Long term, I think it will improve. | |||

This team must include Labour people like Gisela Stuart who was an outstanding orator and was never phased by the barbs and insults that came her way. I was very impressed by how she spoke in German part way through her speech at Manchester when the overall result was announced to hold out a hand to them. And yes she did translate! IDS, Grayling and even Farage deserve to be in that team. For me Cameron and Osborne should be led away quietly and put out to grass never to be seen again.
