Lots of young women seem to want these on their wish list. I saw the technique involves filing down their own perfectly healthy teeth to them put what can only be described as a set of granny looking dentures that deforms their mouths.

Fair enough option where false teeth are the only option - but grinding down perfectly good teeth in their twenties - are these young lassies mad? Surely responsible dentists would offer combo treatment of braces and whitening first if they were that bad.

Thoughts please - would you ruin perfectly good teeth for over perfect 'dentures' you're stuck with for life?

I watched the episode on TV of Katie Price having that done, she ended up with pointy teeth, then they put the veneers on top.

As much as my teeth annoy me at times, I'd never have it done

couldn't afford it tho either!!!

I thougt it was caps that they had to file teeth ?

I have two and that was the proceedure.

Vaneers go on top of existing teeth.

I would like them actually , especially my two front teeth because of a gap . It would correct it

My boss had them done and I couldn't believe it!

It made him look like some nightmarish wax work of himself.

I couldn't stop staring for weeks.

It's just one persons choice and vanity, up to them really. Not that different to a tattoo really in terms of impact.

yep similar to capped teeth procedure veneers cemented on top of filed down teeth - no going back.

A tattoo is a one off thing and the choice is to get more. Once you damage your natural teeth to apply veneers you have to upkeep them for a lifetime. Both procedures spoil the body for me though. Some will see tattoos like makeup and an enhancement that isnt permanent. Once you file teeth down thats it.
