Attitudes to mens sex toys/Mags

We had a huge debate with a female friend (a vanilla one) over mens sex toys and magazines etc..

She blurted out that she found a magazine in her new house and said the guy was a F@#king pervert and she feels disgusted, we got onto mens sex toys imitation bums/pussys etc to which she almost threw up saying how could a man fuck a plastic pussy, gross etc etc..

I then ask if she had sex toys of a man made material which she fucks herself with which went down like a lead ballon, of course to which she replied of course but "Its different"

Are we wrong to think she is just a massive hypocrite or is this a normal double standard??

It's like when guys go to strips clubs they're perverts, but the girls get a male stripper in and it's "just the girls having a laugh innit?"

Always been the case, most probably always will ...

I think it's worse in 'vanilla land'. But the same everywhere.

If men think about sex it's cheating apparently. Wanking is cheating. Women that wank are slags. Women that enjoy sex are slags. Men that enjoy sex are perverts.

Sad times.

Very sad indeed, the most basic primal sexual acts are deemed "wrong"..

The romans had the right idea: source spartacus the series!

The basic gist here, and im speaking primarily about vanilla street since in kink/swing environments in many ways all bets are off and there is no rule book; is that we exist in a post-"patriarchal" society in which we have largely removed restrictions on female sexuality but retained restrictions on male sexuality.

There appears to be a sort of dynamically adjusted "rulebook" of what is and isnt accepted within a society, it drifts here and there over time and there are outliers on all sides at all times. A "Dominant social narrative" if you will, not universal, but a percievable frame of reference we all operate in.

In the current narrative, liberal attitudes have prevailed (largely for the better) with regards to female sexuality. While there remain outliers who will as some have stated in the comments here resort to name calling and judgement of a sex-positive female, in the main it has become permissible for a woman to be as sexually promiscuous as she wishes to be, and as kinky as she wishes to be.

This is of course, an entirely positive thing, her body her choice.

The trouble is, a similar adjustment has not been made to the male rulebook. His body his choice is just not on the agenda. To the extent that major news publications can decry the possible development of a male birth control pill as a dangerous development for women because it, get this, "Removes a womans choice of when she wants to get pregnant, and he does not" I shit you not. Then theres the issue of circumcision among myriad others, but sticking to the sexual marketplace: Take for example sexual orientation.

Bisexuality in females is now so accepted as to be damn near the norm. And dont get me wrong, as a man i can say confidently, we like this but for men, not so much.

Ive been outright rejected just for expressing bi-curiosity. And thats bearing in mind its a curiosity ive never in my life acted on. Not so much as a kiss. But just admitting that a guy is hot is enough to "Taint" a man in the eyes of many women. And this is still considered acceptable, by women who would never accept the label of homophobe.

Then we get onto the topic at hand; sex toys. Male use of sex toys is still at a total social pariah level. Use or ownership of one deems a man a sad unsuitable loser who must be shamed at all costs. The female sex toy industry is a multi-million pound trade.

Both fulfil the same basic function, but one is socially acceptable, the other isnt. Women spend more on masturbatory aids than most spend on their legit hobbies. And yet "Wanker" is still a legit insult for a male. We are expected to accept shame for it.

Ultimately, women have good reason to enforce this double standard. The sisterhood is never going to accept any development which threatens their hegemony over sex. Be that the wider acceptance of bisexuality in males, the development of sex toys or worse realistic sex robots, or even the MGTOW movement. Society operates on the basis that men will work beyond their basic subsistence needs in order to impress a mate. Chris Rock once said if a man could fuck in a cardboard box he would never buy a house, and hes absolutely right. Without men chasing women for sex the economy will grind to a shuddering halt, wealth will cease to transfer and circulate, and we will all be right in the shit.

So, sadly yes, your friend is entirely normal in holding this double standard, and you are the "weird" one. It just happens that sometimes the weird view is the correct one.

From what I see at work I would say her reaction is normal of a lot of people I talk to.

When I meet people like that I find it difficult not to tell them what I get up, as I suspect it will explode their tiny minds

Its a sad state of affairs when a woman can walk into a high street shop and buy a vibrator without a care in the world....but if I was to go into a sex shop and buy a life like doll with a sucking attachment for my dyson and a pulsating self lubricating pussy , I would be called a pervert

Yeah this has always rankled me. Like how ann summers is totally fine for women to go into, but a man goes into a sex shop and he's a filthy mac wearing pervert.

Double standards.

derby

Reminded me of this

When a girl buys a vibrator, its seen as a bit of naughty fun. BUT when a guy orders a 240 Volt FuckMaster Pro 5000 blowup latex doll with 6 speed pulsating vagina, elasticized anus with non-drip semen collection tray, together with optional built in realistic orgasm scream surround sound system, hes called a pervert.
