I was using my 'pineapple' as a kind of allegory but it's nice that people are pro pineapples as a whole too

Eating fresh pineapple makes my throat sore and coats my teeth with an odd texture, yet air dried fresh pineapple is fine (home dehydrated). Tinned pineapple is ok too, but if I never ate pineapple for the rest of my life, I wouldn't miss it one bit (pomegranates are in the same category for me).

Despite years of mentioning this, my mother always buys me a fresh pineapple for Easter and/or my birthday, this year to include 2 cartons of the juice. At least the top can be sliced off and grown, plus I give it away to someone else.

So, whilst the above is true, the analogy to the OP's post is that we all have different likes and dislikes, yet can still have the occasional good time, if the situation is right. An open mind to possibilities without immediately dismissing preset ideas based on past experiences can lead to a new and pleasure one.

Pineapples, eh? Who'd have thought?
