So today was my youngest last sports day at primary school and today I witnessed a fellow pupil and a boy that has been with him since nursery do the most amazing gesture I have ever seen, my little lad doesn't win anything and stuggles with coordination and was doing the egg and spoon race, he was way back and this lad, stopped and walked with him, just far enough back so my lad didn't come last, to say I was very emotional was an understatement.

I was just telling my friend about the Down syndrome boy yesterday that won his last school race because his friends all linked arms and came joint second so their friend could win, I was in tears with that story, let alone it actually happening to my son.

It was so so lovely

How lovely!..

Small gestures make huge differences in kids with disabilities! I myself understand this well.

His mum was sitting just behind me and came and gave me a big cuddle, thing is all through primary they wasn't really friends, despite being firm friends in nursery, over the past few months they have got closer and the lad is coming out with us on Saturday for my sons birthday treat, I'm so glad they came full circle
