According to the BBC, St George's Prep in Jersey have cancelled their annual day to the beach.

Reason: it might be sunny.

Don't want to risk sunburn or heatstroke. It's more difficult to keep a class of children out of the sun,and occupied,than two or 3.

Yes, but it jersey, on the beach, there is the breeze which tans. No end of mainlanders get caught out and end up with sunburn pretty sunstroke. Its not just about the temperature ....

Yes, but it jersey, on the beach, there is the breeze which tans. No end of mainlanders get caught out and end up with sunburn pretty sunstroke. Its not just about the temperature .... "

Yet they managed all the other years without anyone dying or getting cancer...
