I've been lucky up to now but it's creeping up on me. Biggest waistline I've ever had 34 inches. Finding it hard to shift. Oh for the days of a 30 inch waist. Tried the Insanity workout out and lost nothing but ended up with knackered knees.

Im 30" waist, absolute nightmare for buying jeans. I can hardly ever find ones to fit me. Even with most, loose fit jeans I can't bend my leg .

Having lost 3 stone in the last 12 months my biggest problem right now is stopping myself constantly pulling my trousers up. Have been a 34" waist for 20 years or more, the shorts I'm currently wearing are 30" !!!

all bread should be avoided on a low carb excersize, try any meat but the leaner the better and 1 mug size of veg or salad but the veg and salad is really up to you.

I would lay off all fizzy drinks as well

As we get older our bodies hormones change, from 35 onwards losing weight becomes increasingly more difficult, your metabolism slows down, so you have to be more careful on your food intake and increase your bodies activity. (If possible of course), I was 32" waisted but now I've found im buying 34", I may have strayed a bit from my diet though, needless to say I'm as active as I can be with running cycling and martial art training, but still the weight is creeping back on.

I'm sure I read somewhere (years ago) your body naturally gains weight each year from your mid 30's. So even if you've successfully lost weight in the past with diet & excercise you have to keep upping your regime to counteract the gain.

Trouble is for me I don't have the time or the inclination the older I've got to up my exercise & decrease my food intake!

Stress is good for losing weight, I lost over 6 stone in 3 months due to getting a divorce.

Not recommended tho lol, but obviously it did have it's plus points.

At my lightest I got down to 11 stone and 28" waist.

Now fitter then ever, weight varies from 14/15 stone and put a lot of muscle on currently a tight 34" waist but looking to get back down to 32"

Low carb works for me but it isn't for everyone
