Was it due to water damage...

Buy a new one / swap the heads and take the old one back. Ask for a replacement as no one would want their money back if they could have a wand.... You now have double the fun....

Depending where you bought it and when you bought it, the shop might replace it. I had one that broke after 3 months and shop replaced it

When I bought a new one I explained that it was because the other kept getting hot when charging (even for the smallest amount of time).

The manager said to bring it in. She replaced it as it was a manufacturing fault. Love that shop.
