Near Carmarthen

'I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue.

But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there’s little good evidence.

Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides.'

Carl Sagan

I, Bells, personally believe in reincarnation - I think that's why we don't remember our early years as our souls are finding the perfect shell to go In to & settle in

I don't know what I believe, I'm a big believe in the science, we live and like everything we die, however I also believe that there is too much paranormal evidence to suggest that is 'the end'....who knows, I'll let you know when I go, however I'm hoping i have many years left

Can agree with this also - happened twelve months or so ago & also have no rational explanation. I suppose I'm now sitting on the fence, but maybe not quite as clear-cut as I'd always thought

When I was 15 I was in a really bad horse riding accident. My heart stopped and I was resuscitated by defibrillator on the 3rd and final attempt. I saw absolutely no light/tunnel etc and I was "dead" for 2 mins? So it's a no for me x I do believe in Karma though x

I like to think there is something else, because I'm a whimsical ballbag, but there probably isn't. Which is a shame really. I'd love nothing better than to meet up with family who've passed away and have a chinwag.

It's a nice thought but so incredibly improbable that I have to assume there is no after life.

We're animals evolved from other animals. We live and then die, ceasing to exist just like all the billions of others.
