Day out alone

Bradford

Today I woke up and thought I fancy a day out on my own, so jumped on a train to Blackpool.

Normally, I'm out and about with my partner or best mate.

Anyone else like doing things by themselves once in a while?

Yeah, sometimes I like to go and walk in wild places on my own, sit on top of a windy hillside and think, it's good for the soul to just 'be' sometimes.

I'm doing this tomorrow. I'm taking myself off to Epping Forest. I have my wellies and waterproofs ready (I'm told it's going to be rainy) and I'm going wandering.

I like getting lost once in a while. Helps me find myself again.

I often go to gigs on my own

By the time people have decided they want to go or not it's usually sold out

Plus not many of my pals like metal

I'm very much a solitary person. I love nothing more than going off camping alone. More than happy in my own company.

I love to do things on my own but then I don't really like other people or too much noise.

I like the idea of going out for the day alone. The reality is I get panicky and feel isolated, even in the middle of London.

62 West Wallaby Street (not real address)

Used to love going out on little adventures on my own. Since my accident last year though it makes me abit anxious. I tried to go to Bristol to go find some Shaun the sheep but had a massive anxiety attack and had to go back home. Im working on it though.

I have the complete opposite problem. Every one of my friends is married so I spend every weekend on my own. I'd love a day out with someone

All the time. I'm happy in my own company. Will go somewhere random for the day, the cinema, for food, to a swinging club. Sometimes you just want to enjoy things completely on your own terms without catering for someone else.
