He's still your dad. You can still celebrate him even though he is no longer here in person. Think of the times he has been there for you the times you spent together. A day of reflection and remembrance. It doesn't have to be a sad occasion.

Get him his favourite tipple in, do something he would have enjoyed, talk about him to friends and family and he will never be gone.

This

I look back and 'celebrate' that I had a great Dad and that he was a fantastic Grandad to my boy

My dad died when I was only 12, never really got to know him but think about him a lot, wondering how my life would be if he was still around.

My dad died 28 years ago, every day is Father's Day to me - not a day goes by where I don't think about him

If I could write a story,

It would be the greatest ever told.

I'd write about my dad,

For he had a heart of gold.

My dad, he was no hero

Known around this world.

He was everything to me,

For I was his only.

I'd write about the lessons.

He taught me right from wrong.

He instilled in me the values

That one day I'd be strong.

He taught me to face my fears,

Take each day as it comes,

For there are things that we can't change.

He would say what's done is done.

He would say hold your head up high,

Carry yourself with pride.

Thanks to him, I am somebody,

I will never run and hide.

If I could write a story,

It would be the greatest ever told.

I'd write about my dad,

For he had a heart of gold.

That's very sad. No matter how old we get, if we love them, we still want them around

Mine died unexpectedly on holiday 4 weeks ago. Bit raw to celebrate fathers day. It's going unnoticed for me. Got a bit emotional when we were out yesterday and Emms needed to buy her dad a card.
