I had a message today from someone and it said ..Hello Miss ...using my surname,

Nobody ive met on fab even knows it..then went on to say ..ive met your niece and called her by her married name..Now my niece is 100% not on here ..they then deleted the profile,and its made me very anxious .

Sweetheart if you're worried about this, what about not having your face in public? Someone has quite simply recognised you. They've had a giggle at your expense and left you being concerned.

Take down your face pics and anything else that may make you recognisable if you are worried about being outed so to speak. Maybe alter your location to throw them off the scent x

I dont know ive been on here nearly two years and its strange its happened now,I'm not going anywhere I'm an adult and i can do as i please .just bugging me .

This is the risk that anyone with public face pics takes on here.

It could be anyone who knows you from anywhere...

I'm not sure what advice of "what you should do" that youre looking for. If you're worried about family / friends / colleagues knowing you're on here then make your pics unidentifiable

yes i reacted by blocking them and before i had time to report it to admin they had deleted the profile,but ive got it in saved messages so not sure if i can still report it or not .

I had someone message me a couple of years ago using my old (male) name, and saying he knew my neighbours.

Once he realised I couldn't care less he gave up. He was just trying to scare me and I still have no idea who it was, sad twat.

Now I live full time it's no longer something anyone can try, as everyone knows anyway, and I'm open about liking sex.

They were probably just trying to worry you, it's like a power trip to them.

There are some very pathetic people around.

Im not sure what you can report them for, but I think the best thing you can do is remove your face from your profile, or blur your face.

You're not doing anything wrong and most decent relatives would say, "good for her" if they found out. So, don't worry about it. They are immature and hiding behind a keyboard.

As you have your face pic showing as public, that's probably how they recognised you in the first place. I'd suggest changing your photo settings so that face pics only show to friends and only have a public photo which you are happy for anyone to see.

What are you reporting them for - recognising you? Nearly all of your pictures are of your face so someone who knows you, your last name and your family will know it is definitely you. The fact you know someone who lacks discretion and is an idiot to boot isn't really something admin can police.

Nothing to do with this website or activity on it.

I never put my face on any public display on the Internet.

Nor my real name.

Nor my address or location ( just general area).

Nor my movements.

Nor my phone number(s).

Nor my car registrations .

My email address is anonymised .

I even mask my internet IP address.

That sort of info only gets given once I start to trust someone.

That goes for any Internet forum , group, etc.

That sort of information can lead to all sorts of issues; ID theft, burglary etc etc, to name just a few.
