Dead flies?

Just discussing my weird experience i had last year with my daughter,i got home fom my hols and walked in my front door and found about 30 dead flies on my living room carpet,also on the stairs and on the landing...iv racked my as to all of them died and why so many and where they came from?...any thoughts people

Probably had a dead mouse a fly laid eggs on. I stopped poisoning mice because they die in places you can't get them and attract flies. Any dead flesh will attract flies.

Pigeons fall down chimneys and die and attract flies that hatch into your house too. When the woman above my daughter killed herself there were blue bottles on the stairs for a couple of weeks.

Depends what time of year but probably 'cluster flies'; particularly if you live in a semi rural area. Google will give you more info.

A fly that got in found something worth leaving eggs on.. Protein like a dead rat or mouse, or more likely food fallen on floor and hidden for example. The eggs hatched into maggots into pupae into flies..

It started with one fly who realised you were away and house was all his for a week or so, so he posted Party on Facebook, next thing you know loads turn up and we know from news reports how these kind of things get out of hand

This is why you should always turn all plugs off before going in holiday, keep the little fuckers off your PC
