I have a five month old kitten with no concept of personal space. Not only does he have to accompany me to the bathroom and sit on the shelf watching while I use the toilet... He now has to check the toilet while I flush the chain. Today he joined me in the bath, standing in the water, rather than perched on the side watching me. I've just gotten home to find he's collected a load of my belongings and made himself a nest with them to sleep in. He doesn't leave me alone for a minute.

Normal kitten behaviour or have I gotten myself an oddball?

Normal kitten behaviour. ..mine however was an oddball. ..whilst changing positions find him sitting looking at me & wife (now ex) with a supercilious look that said " you're doing that wrong, bite the neck from behind. ..what do I know you had my balls in a jar before I finished meowing...feed me"

Mine comes in and wakes me in morning for his food. He's a right effing bully. Vet reckons once he cuts his wits it's off he will calm down a bit

My kitten turned into a little old man

He is 14 years old now and very close to me

Sits in doorstep waiting for me to come home from work then straight to his food cupboard then at side of me all night

Lovely animals

Cats are great but men don't want claws that sharp in the same room as their naked cock. Cat in the bedroom a bad idea

I'm used to cats being aloof. This one is a little stalker. Overwhelmingly in my face constantly ha. Cute though.

Normal. Remember that all he knows is being part of a litter and being part of everything everyone else is doing.

The clothes thing is a security blanket thing ad they smell like you which is reassuring. Just watch out once he starts teething as he may chew them. Perhaps get a blanket and snuggle up with it and him then let him sleep on it.

"I'm used to cats being aloof. This one is a little stalker. Overwhelmingly in my face constantly ha. Cute though. "

I have always found that a fallacy, all my cats are deeply attached and adoring. My current one used to follow me in and out to the stables 6 times a day like a dog, even try to follow me down the road as I turned them out. My big old tom used to put a paw either side of my head and cuddle me dribbling with pleasure when I picked him up. Cats are very affectionate and loving if you connect with them on a deeper level.

Oh and they are all obsessed with coming into the bathroom with you, lol, that's normal cat behaviour!

Mine used to lie as if dead on the bed while I got up and dressed and went through the bathroom etc in the morning, but the second I headed down the stairs to go feed horses, whooosh, she was there lol!!

You've got one with a quirky personality lol.

My cat used to go stand by the shower door when I showered. Soon as I came out, he'd go in and the miaow until i turned the shower back on, so he could have a drink/wash down lol.

He also used to try and sit on my lap I went to the loo.

That's so cute. I used to have a rat that like that, would always had to come sit on my shoulder, sleep in my pocket and would only let me pick her up. I think it's just an attachment they develop with their human. Looks like you have a friend who loves you.

I had a rat. Well a communal one at uni then my own later on. The uni one, used to free roam and would get in the bath with us.

My own one was great until one day, it bit me and I didn't love it any more.

I couldn't work out why mine bit me. I moved my hand past the cage and she grabbed me through the bars, pulled my hand towards her mouth and bit me. The trust and the love went instantly. Betrayed

Did you feed her through the cage at all? Mine got a bit bitey if I put my hands through the cage because they thought they were getting treats. They did seem to realise their mistake when they bit though.

It could have been a number of reasons, they are prey animals and so are naturally defensive.

It's a shame that you lost the love because they are really cool pets, I like to rub their bellies and squish their chub.

Now I want to get more rats.

He's going to turn me into a crazy cat lady isn't he? I only got a cat because I respect their independence. They don't you, you don't own them. Thought, new kitten, will do his own thing and just want the occasional cuddle. We can co exist quite nicely.

This one would have wearing him in a sling if he could.
