ive been told i snore by a few guys and its not a nice little ladylike snore !!!! luckily i sleep alone most nights .funnily enough i sont seem to snore in my own bed (or no one has told me i have ) probably because i sleep at home on a buckwheat pillow ....they take some getting used to but its been great for my neck problem .

and there is an app out there for your phone which records any noise u make at night so u can get evidence !!

Jo, I got some re-usable ones with removable cords recently. Gave most away to my colleagues as we need them to drown the background noise from time to time.

I shared the lounge with a family friend when I went to my mum's for a holiday, and my snoring kept her awake.

I gave her a pair of Howard Leight's earplugs, and she slept like a baby after that.

She could not hear us knocking on the door one night when my mum and I returned late, and it is a tiny flat!

I got myself one of those gum shield thing to stop me breathing through my mouth when I sleep.

Have not shared a bed for the night with anyone to find out if it is effective in reducing my snoring though.

The dog won't tell me, so I am no wiser!

Siren says I snore but I don't believe her... I mean, if it was THAT bad it would wake *me* up as I'm the closest!!

Seriously though, those nasal strips work wonders in keeping the nostrils open during sleep and they do prevent snoring, but not if I lie on my back - nothing can stop it then!

yep I know I snore occasionally, I think most peeps do from time to time. For me it's when I am really really tired or after a cold or flu.

Relaxation helps avoid it either by doing a little yoga, a bath or reading for a while.

There are some nose tabs out now that are supposed to work. Might look a bit comic but if you are sleeping, what the hell.

I've been told by more than one person that I do so I guess I must ... although I've never woken myself up doing it. I'd love to be able to record it so I can hear just how bad it is. I have an old cassette tape recorder so I may just give it a go, just out of curiosity.

I've also been told I sleep 'as quietly as a mouse' but I have a feeling that person was just being gracious to save my feelings

You can also clear your nose by sniffing up running water. Better done one nostril at a time. Then blow and spit it out alternately. It's a bit eye watering but good hygiene.

i have snored since i was a small child

my mum had asked a friend to take me for the night at short notice i would of been about 4

her husband came home late from the pub and walked in to hear some very loud snoring

thinking his wife had a man in he shot upstairs to their bedroom burst in to find his wife in bed alone

feeling very confused he followed the sound to the next room down the landing to open the door to find, in his words, an small angelic looking child with blonde ringlets tumbling over the pillow snoring like an asthmatic smoking 60 yr old man

it oddly got better as i got older and after an unrelated op last sept has ceased altogether

i have been known in the past to of woken myself up with it
