I'm an ex smoker and now a vaper and id never dream of doing it in work place and use it outside, if I'm somewhere that allows it indoors I always ask the people around if they mind first it's just common courtesy

You see some people just use them anywhere with no regard for others around them

Vape makes you cough? Interesting... don't run a hot bath or go into a steam room then, you may not come out alive!

And YES, I'm a smoker, and know the difference between smoke and vapour

Valleys

I'm a vaper (male) and i use "one of those stupid cloud machines" that produces silly amounts of vapour. I would never force it on someone, and always go out of my way to have a vape. End of the day it's my choice to vape and think its unfair to make others put up with it. Sadly alot of vapers feel that because its "harmless" that they can blow massive clouds anywhere they want. It's because of these idiots that it has so much bad press and is getting clamped down.

Studies have been done and shown it is 95% less harmful than smoking a cigarette, which is great news for people who have gone from smoking to vaping. Also studies have shown that there is very little effect to passive vaping compared to passive smoking, still doesnt make it right to force it on non smokers.

I don't understand idiots who walk about in shops happily vaping away and then get stuck up and start arguing when asked to stop, you wouldn't smoke in tesco why would you think you can vape?

Sadly there's always a few that ruin it for everybody

Being a smoker I am only allowed outside to partake in my habit, and would expect vapour smokers to do the same.

Not Vape clouds soo thick you can't see in front of you.

Bristol

There has been evidence recently that the vapour contains some interesting chemicals which may not do us very much good.

All judgements so far have been made on the basis that there is no evidence vapour is harmful. But that is directly correlated with there having been next to no independent research.

I know most work places have banned them being used, until more studies have been done on them I suppose this will be split 50/50.

To answer the OP no. However, I did see a video yesterday of some American idiot whos secondhand vape fumes would have caused anyone problems as he used chilli puree from 1M scoville chillies in his. Possibly making this the first vapourise to breach anti chemical warfare pacts.

Dont think the health concerns of 2nd hand vape are any worsw than walking down a busy high street, cars, smokers and other pollutants. But vapers should follow the smokers rule and have the courtesy to do it outside. I do/did.

Vapes were ok when they were descreet and pretty much a slight vapour but now we have the twats with the super vape pens billowing big clouds of vapour everywhere and to be honest is quite offensive to me.

Fair play if you like a strawberry fog around you but why inflict it on others ?

Just as bad as the smell of cigarette smoke

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

By (user no longer on site)

Slightly different but I used to get the same thing from the fog machine at gigs, yes it's not smoke it's vapour but there is definitely something in it that, in large amounts, sets my asthma symptoms off.

To be honest anything you breath in apart from oxygen in large amounts isn't going to do you any good.
