I can honestly say I'm not surprised. In conversation earlier when someone doubted my opinion I asked them out straight, would you have let him baby sit your child? They thought about it and said "no"

That for me says it all.

Didn't see the programme but the fact that his wife seems to have accepted it and offered her apologies to the victims suggests it might well be true. Most wives - if they didn't believe it - would surely try and defend the honour of their loved one.

We've probably still only hit the tip of the iceberg to be honest - so many privileged people out there who think they are (or indeed just are ..) untouchable

I think we call it our "gut instinct"!.

I belive it's something left over from our evolutionary past, we pick up on very small things that often don't get noticed in a conscious way but are there rumbling away in the back of our heads.

It's not infallible but it definitely should be listened to

He had a property in the area, he befriended the family after Maddie went missing, they stayed at his place. His family claim that he wasn't there when she went missing

Plenty about it on t'internet (so must be true ..

) - politicians, judges, Lords, landed gentry (and above) etc.

All with significantly costlier lawyers than I can afford and ability to silence people so not saying anything else

Me? Personally I don't believe a word of it.

Losing a child must be one of the most horrific things in the world so I can't even begin to imagine what the McCanns have been through.

However IF press reports are to be believed (which is, of course, open for debate) then some of their actions after the disappearance do seem at odds with parents desperately keen to find their child. Of course until you're in that situation you don't know how you'll react so I guess it's not surprising that some behaviours might seem irrational or erratic.

A Google search on '48 questions McCanns refused to answer' throws some interesting results worth a read.
