When life gets all too much, one thing after another seems to goes wrong, it feels like everyone is against you and you just want to put two fingers up at the world, crawl back into bed put the covers over your head and stay there till things look brighter....What do you do?

I watch soppy films, have a good cry, have a 'veg out' day.. mong around in PJ's, keep the curtains closed, eat crap food, cry some more... then fall asleep and wake up feeling slightly better

then flick over to BBC News and realise things can be a lot worse.

I tend to get in bed and cry and talk to my 'mum' (she has died) bemoaning how life is crap for me and why do people have to be cruel and treat me this way (its always others, never my fault), cry myself to sleep, and usually I feel a little better.

I do get down sometimes, it doesnt last long and i always think of my lovely sister i lost and how she struggled to have what ive got...life...with all its shitty days and all its nice days.

I at least owe it to her memory to have a bloody good go at things , even if i get it wrong sometimes.

I can honestly say I've never had a day like that. Had bad days sure, but when that happens I know a good one is just around the corner.

Tick follows tock follows tick.

My mantra is this:

Life isn't about arriving at one's destination in a perfectly preserved body but more of a sliding in sideways on your shins in a shower of gravel proclaiming loudly, "Fuck me! What a rush!"

I live by that.
