People disagree with someone's opinion

And that's fine

However to say someone's opinion is wrong!!!

How can an opinion be wrong ?

Depends on the 'opinion'

We were once told by someone on here that we cant really be in love as we like kissing others, I said she was wrong as its a fact that we are. Now if she had said we aren't very attractive, then that is fine as that was her opinion.

Opinion has to be based on something, if it is based on a presumed fact or premise that is incorrect then it follows that the opinion is also wrong.

I notice that the majority of the time when an opinion is dismissed as wrong very few ask for the dismissal to be justified and even less people can justify their original dismissal of an opinion.

It is a shame because if opinions and their dismissals were justified many opinions would be changed we would all gain from it.

An opinion is a judgement ( or belief) not necessarily based on fact.

Your own opinion is correct for you;

Someone else may have a different opinion on the same subject.

To them , your opinion is " wrong" to you, their opinion is " wrong" .

So there can never be a baseline " correct opinion" for everyone.

Opinions are subjective, not objective.

That's the whole point of human judgement; we form judgements based on interpreting information we have.
