"is she more tired when overdue? i know i feel wiped out at this time and what helped me was to get more rest and not do anything that needed doing. would've been nice if my ex had helped out more but he didn't so i just cut back on stuff myself. dunno about medication or anything, never tired any myself, but i do not get pmt at all, just the tiredness." Well she does have a lot on her plate. I.e kids, job & house duties. I do try and help but currently I have 3 jobs just to make ends meet.

"Forgot to say some birth controls can stop or make periods irregular " She was on birth control, but doctors said stop and see how you get on. Which she has but no luck.

"that's shit for you both. i coped with doing loads until before my period then i was a mess and just wanted to sleep or at least not have to think for everybody else, which is what happens when you have kids. that's what caused me to get moody and tbh it can sometimes be so draining you can't even think. taking on less housework worked for me, getting the kids to watch DVDs in bed with me while i had a nap worked but only coz my kids were good like that and not all kids would let you have rest without sneaking off or getting up to something. my ex eventually started cooking meals when i went on strike as well but he only had a part time job and could have helped out more anyway. not sure what else i could advise really." Thanks you have been very helpful. As having a busy life could be a big part as problem did start as we got the extra work load.

" probably is that if she's coping any other time. no idea why periods make some of us really tired but it is horrible and sometimes you feel like you're going mental. if you try that DVD thing then try it before she gets to the tired stage, make it a part of your routine already and see how it goes when you can deal with it. making new routines when already tired and struggling probably won't work out and new routines with kids tend not to work striahgt away either. if the kids are still fairly little you might even be able to get them to nap with her. if older maybe napping on the sofa will help for her while they amuse themselves. i've even let my kids have extra computer game time to get some peace and don't feel guilty about it. sometimes you just need a rest.
