Some men and women are aesthetically beautiful and I can think wow. Yet recently I've been drawn to minds more sexually and physically they can be not my type. Yet I still think pwoar. Can a mental attraction outweigh physical for you?

Unless there's a mental attraction for me there is no physical attraction. There might be an aesthetic appreciation without it but it's not remotely sexual unless I like them as them.

Not for me no, no matter how nice a guy is if I don't find him physically attractive I couldn't have sex with him, but the same goes the other way round I couldn't have sex with a nice looking guy if there was no mental attraction, need a good balance of the two

A mental and personal attraction is more powerful for me. A physical attraction is always good though

For me, on Fab as I meet off the forums, the initial physical & mental attraction tend to go hand in hand

I think there has to be some sort of physical attraction but the mental attraction is far more interesting than purely physical at the end of the day their has to be connection

Its a mix of both those things , though a mental attraction can lead to so.much more delightful things.its a meeting of minds , the best alchemy leads to the best chemistry

A world of my own

Mental attraction is key for me. And I look for people who also seek that.

Spot on! There needs to be a physical attraction, obviously, but I find that secondary to a mental attraction. If you don't like the other person as a person then there's no point.

In the middle

Some people have the ability to make you go phhwwooarrr but if the personality doesn't match then for me it's a no go, I like interaction as much as I like the sex

Local-ish

Elements of the two. Has to be a mental attraction, a connection. Someone I can have a chat and a giggle with. Has to be able to hold my attention during recovery breaks lol. "Come to bed" eyes and a sexy bum also help

I think both are important but depending on the person and my mood their weighting changes, so some Guys i meet are more physically stimulating than mentally and vice versa. That is what is so wonderful about fab...the variety means i don't have to always want the same thing

Yes it can but I have to find someone at least a teeny bit physically attractive before their personality wins me over

Not sure if this counts as a mental attraction but I find passionate (non sexual way) women a lot more attractive.

For me personally there has to be a mental attraction. After all it's the most powerful stimulant we have.

I like the word 'alchemy' so much more than 'chemistry'. The former suggests the mystery and magic of real attraction, whilst the latter smacks of the formulaic (x+y=wow!). I have met people who were at first 'not for me' who during the course of coffee became 'yessss, now, please..'. Alchemy, yes. Always a wonderful surprise, making gold.

Yes I had one of those off a dating site lol, he was so enthusiastic and persistent I finally agreed to dinner and half way through, WHACK it hit me!

We went for a walk and had an hour of passionate snogging, he was a fabulous kisser lol!

No. It can't outweigh it, but it isn't something I compartmentalise because you take the person as a whole.

Some people can increase or decrease in their attractiveness to me though in the sense that I could get on really well with them on the Internet but feel no chemistry when we meet, and vice versa x
