Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on messiging people from the forum, should a few messeges be passed on the forum first or is it best to go straight for it ?

Depends how you wanna play it

Though a personal bug bear of mine is when somebody messages me with a comment that they could have easily posted on the forums but they do it just to try to start a conversation in private.

Forum etiquette dictates that you should be aware of the little green arrow.

Repeating the same question is a bit weird

They might have had a ban! Or not want to say what they've said on the forum.

But usually it's something like "I agree with that" when it was then who opened the thread...

If it's someone I fancy the pants off they'll already be on my friends list.

I could, as if I do fancy the pants off them based on their photos & what I see of them on the forums, I contact them first.

Sometimes you need to ask a question a few times before you get the answer you're looking for

"Depends if their first response is fuck off or not I suppose. "

I had a forum user follow me around giving me hassle for no reason so I reported them numerous times - yet they kept doing it so I contacted them to ask them to stop giving me hassle for no reason and to let them know I had reported them over their poor behaviour and the psycho responded by telling me they were going to report me!

Some people are simply fucking nuts..

I get plenty of messages triggered from my forum posts.

I really ought to vet my posts better. They trigger some very odd messages at times

What do you mean a few messages on the forum.?

Do you mean just having a bit of banter or commenting on something they have said.

If you are interested in someone just message them

Can't you work it out for yourself?

It's easy to guess when it might be right to message someone.

He probably doesn't believe those answers and was simply waiting for someone with more gravitas and prestige to answer

Don't worry OP, I'm here now. The correct answer is wot they said!
