Rich Brother, Poor Brother

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Ivan Maslow and his poorer younger brother playing out their sibling rivalry on Ch4 +1.

I have a great relationship with my sibling (I would not survive without this relationship) but I can remember our one rivalry moment with such clarity, even though it was nearly 30 years ago.

Have you experienced sibling rivalry?

My sister is adopted. I am not.

She always feels I was afforded more opportunity than she was. I don't.

It will always be there but we don't fall out over it.

I work with both my brothers , no rivalry though .

The programme was truly interesting and at times heart warming

If it's always there is it waiting to fall out?

I am enjoying it, especially seeing them find ways of enjoying being together as brothers again.

Did you ever have any rivalries with your brothers?

I hope not. We have had 'grown up' talks about it.

Besides, there's plenty more to fall out about

To be honest no , life's way too short .

We don't have a fantastic closeness , but have coffee together every morning , have a laugh and talk business . We don't always agree on everything , but none of us are more pushy than any other .

It's all good

I find that the fallings out tend not to be about the thing that is used as the reason. At least that has been my experience and observation.

If it works for you all then that is all good indeed.

There's a private family run bank where the family all sit down to lunch together every weekday. I do wonder if they are close or just see each other every day.

We're just different people with very different views

I don't regard her as a rival though

She's my sis and that comes before disagreements

I don't know, I think they like me. All 3 of us spend a weekend in London recently, everything seemed great. My older sibling constantly angry and raging at us, me extremely calm and laid back and the younger sibling somewhere in the middle of us .

Oh god no! I'm ruthless and heartless according to one of my best friends (know each other for 15 years) .
