Dear Fabbers , Friends and forumites.

I trust you have all had a splendid day.

Pooch and I have just returned home after a wander on the Orme.

It was a hazy evening, the peeks of the Carneddu mountains like islands in a sea of low clouds.

Before we set off , I changed my socks , from nylon day sicks to my thick wooly walking socks.

What a surprise I noticed on my nylon socks was embroidered the word Tuesday !!! And today being Tuesday I had a pleasant surprise. I just picked them out of the drawer randomly.serendipity

So chums what serendipitous things have happened to you today?

Taff and Pooch feeling jolly spiffing

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

It's my birthday on Friday and had nothing planned. Then I got a random mail from a photographer. Never indulged before but I bit the bullet and thought why not you only turn 41 once. So that's where I'm off Friday

taff..... I would say you need to get out more, but that would be ironic..... I am pleased you found your Tuesday socks in an unusual place (on your feets)

I am wearing "Mr Fabulous" socks today, which aside from making me laugh are probably against the trades description act....

PP and I had a lovely afternoon in Tynemouth after collecting my daughter from Uni in Newcastle. Fish and Chips by the beach, lovely walk around Tynemouth Priory in the glorious sunshine, and a very bracing paddle in the water...absolute bliss

finding a matching pair is fortuitous in itself

the chances are 1 in 7 maybe - if you were picking socks out with the days on as a choice and if you still have the full set - odds considerably lower if you own many pairs

"finding a matching pair is fortuitous in itself"

It is for a single man, I can tell you..

I had Mr Grumpy on the left and Mr Happy on the right yesterday; I was Mr Perplexed all day...

For our wedding anniversary we usually have a meal. One year though we were brassic skint. So no meal.

Hadn't been to the casino for a few months, and a few days before our anniversary they sent me a 'missing you' voucher for a meal and drinks up to the value of £50.

Our bill came to £49.11 paid for courtesy of the casino. One of the best meals ever

Taff and Knitters threads always make me smile along with the posts they attract...Much better than reading ones that make me shake my head.
