Room Lets in London

Hi,

I live in Nottingham, however I am chatting to a company in Westminster about a potential role that may crop up in the nearish future.

I intend on leaving my base in Nottingham as my family are settled there schools, etc. However during the week I may need to stop in London then go home at the weekends.

Does anyone know of a website that I could use to find such room? I am sure they exist. Ideally the landlord/lady will be a swinger lol.

ok ..... the universities rent out the rooms in their halls of residence out of term time ..... they are basic but very cheap

Be prepared for a room costing the same as a flat or house in Nottingham. The further out along the tube line you go the cheaper it will be. Westminster is one of the most expensive areas in the country.

Spareroom and gumtree are where I'd be looking (and will give you a better idea of what your money will buy, where).

I had a friend who moved to London from Manchester and actually got a serviced apartment for a reasonable price until he got a bit more settled.

Even further afield you will be paying hundreds a month. Somewhere like Leytonstone is considered cheap in London and you'll be looking at £500 minimum for a room in a shared house. And then you are out in zone 3/4 so a ticket on the underground wont be cheap

Somewhere like Camden, which is central you;d be looking at £750 minimum for a room. Place like Brixton and Hackney are a little cheaper.

Thanks for the info I will be calling my tenants first thing in the morning and telling them the rent is gone up. I am charging far to less.
