Sounds like your support for any particular "charity" is as fickle as changing clothes to suit the seasons" I'm sorry I don't quite understand your comment. Its up to me who I choose to donate to. Fickle is not a word we word use in this situation. If something has touched me in a particular way and I wish to help then that's my concern. Over the years I have supported many and still do. Your unwanted opinion you can keep yourself.

It was a slight on my character. I suggest you re-read your first comment. I have yet to see which charity you support. Should you wish to add value to the thread and become part of the conversation perhaps that would be a start. "

"None, but I would if they got the money I donated instead of only a small percentage " Perhaps look at local smaller charities should you wish to get involved. Most have a volunteer workforce and a higher percentage goes to the those in need.

"I have no idea where my £4.50 a month goes. The lady from SHIELD takes my money at the door and gives me the booklet, which I forget to read. I'm a terrible donator. All local charities though and I do remember them buying an incubator for a local baby unit." Is that an agent from SHIELD? Do you donate to superheroes. Well done you. no seriously. That's great support.

What is you favourite charity? " My personal favorite is Help For Heroes - among others of course

"Cystic fibrosis as my little cousin has it I have got plans to do a charity boxing match to raise money for it." Giving to charity is more fulfilling when there is a personal connection. My mother raises a lot for different cancer charities since she came I'll a few years ago. Mainly small local ones or kids cancer charities. It's the small things that count. There's often a coffee morning going on around her house.

"I spend time each year volunteering on overseas aid-projects that involve supplying remote communities with safe water and medical support .... You should get in touch with Simon Konecki. He owns the company life water that sells bottled water then builds wells in third world countries. " Thanks for the suggestion ..... But we've been doing what we do pretty much every year since 2004 using a tried and tested formula that works the way it does simply because we are able to operate a self sufficient programme thanks to the co-operation and generosity of our corporate sponsors..... We drill wells and install water purification equipment whilst providing support and assistance to a mobile field hospital.....
