little house on the praire

So carrying on from the skinny jean thread and a thread i put up last year do you have a "style"

The thread i put up was when id lost my weight and was at the experimenting stage.

I havent reread the thread yet. But what happened was i became obsessed by clothes and love fashion. That i dont have a style as such but am a mood and occassion dresser.

Its been a fun journey and continues to be i just need a bigger house for all my stuff

If it's not tie dye it's leopard print. I like bright colourful clothes.

I probably look a mess to some, but I like what I wear and I'm happy with it.

I would love to be able to go into any shop and buy whatever pair of shoes I like, but alas I have massive feet so am limited.

Finding long trousers in my size and leg length is a challenge too.

Just where I need to be.

Work tends to be skinny jeans tshirt and boots. I wear lace dresses for formal.Everyday wear I wear what's comfortable and preferably bare feet.

I'm not sure what my style is but I like it .

We were laughing earlier because Mr N suggests clothes for me and encourages me to buy things, I said he's a "dresser" in the same way some men are "feeders"

Is "lazy and I don't give a shit" a style? I think I pull it off well.

I don't have a style as such. I'm a jeans, t-shirt and trainers guy. I pretty much wear the same sort of clothes and styles that I have worn since I was about twelve! Pathetic really. We get stuck in our ways though.

I recently tried on a suit jacket for the first time in my life (yes, that is true!) and it kinda blew me away. I looked in the mirror and for the first time ever I felt I looked like a grown-up, a proper bloke. I never imagined I could have pulled off such a look. I always thought wearing things like that would make me look like a douche so always steered away from clothes like that. I felt comfortable in it and amazingly I think I pulled it off. It gave me a kind of confidence. I was well chuffed. It's really made me reconsider the way I look and how I dress. It has such a bearing on how you feel and how others view you after all. My current style is not really showing off or portraying the inner me. I need to change.

Erm... really, I don't have a style! If I do it's a bit 70s - tunicy tops with floral patterns, either jeggings or shorts, or shorts with tights & my calf high boots.

My style is either comfy or practical. If I'm out and about, I dress for comfort. I don't care if it clashes or anything. Vintage soft top, with old baggy boxers and nice comfy jeans.

For work, cargo pants and an old scruffy shirt I don't mind getting dirty

I suppose I'm very bohemian in my dress style. I like bold prints and colours, I also love lace, embroidery, fringing, lots of embellishment. I love Indian, Chinese, Japanese style clothing.

As a paradox to this I like gothic clothing, buckles, studs, black lace, velvets, but I couldn't dress like this always because I would miss the colour.

I am not a person to match colours or prints, I like clashing.

This is not something I've decided on recently, I have always dressed this way.

I don't have a style I don't think. As I get older I find it more and more difficult to find clothes I like I'm happiest in jeans and a simple top or floaty skirts with birkenstocks this time of year. I do like to dress up though dress & heels and don't have to worry for work ad they provide a uniform

My daughter describes me as a middle aged New York hipster, who yearns for Victorian Britain and wears 1970s band t-shirts

That kid pisses me off sometimes

But I love her

I generally just knock about in jeans, trainers, t-shirt & fleece/hoodie & trilby, although I've just splashed out £60 on a leather waistcoat which will get worn a lot while the sun is out

On a night out I'll usually wear a black jacket, whichever colour shirt doesn't need ironing, either smart jeans or trousers and black or brown shoes topped off with ma fedora

It varies with how I'm feeling that day.

Some days I wear all black minimal.

Other days I like utilitarian/grunge in a Paul Harden style.

But I also like being very vibrant wearing different textures, colours, patterns.

The often limited variety in men's fashion pisses me off so much.

I often have to snatch one off pieces in high street shops as they're available or I have to buy designer.

My fashion nightmare would be just jeans and a tshirt. I don't want to be a clone of everyone else.

Kinda punk..? Skinny jeans/printed leggings and a band tshirt. Lots of leopard print. Can vary a little but it's always paired with doc martens.

Whatever takes my fancy on any given day I'm afraid (not copping out, honest!)

It can just vary from tight skinny jeans and a t-shirt one day, to fitted suited and booted another, and then just as likely find me in baggy joggers, very top and hoody!

Black, black and more black. I do have some floral print, polka dot and animals print but the base is always black. I have in the region of 30 dresses and probably 20 pencil skirts. That said, for everyday/work i'm most likely to be found in black jeans/leggings and a long top just for ease!

I like a retro style when it comes to lingerie for meets and going out out but other that I live in easy to wash, no ironing required dresses, tights and boots in spring, autumn and winter unless the weather is really warm and I get a maxidress on so I can go barelegged. I do try and avoid wearing all black and love florals but only because I am pale and brunette and want to avoid looking like an accidental goth.
