It sounds a bit of a cliche but I don't think I have any, as even when things went wrong, something else came from that experience. So I don't think of any of my life thus far as a mistake.

I do agree with this but I made a poor judgment once and lost an awful amount of money and tbf it provided me with a bit of life experience

Poor judgement more than a mistake.. Saying with my husband at the time for the sake of the children. This put me in danger and not good for the children.

Mine was not starting to buy houses earlier in life.

I got offered a house for £20,000 many years ago and it basically needed cleaning and decorating.

It sold for £180k last year.

I got offered another for £14k around the same time which needed re-wiring and new windows and that's just gone for £158k

I have 2 houses now but if I had started buying in my teens/early twenties I could have been retired and well off by now

And haven't we all been there? Or something similar...I once got involved with a guy (seriously rich by my standards)..My mistake was not being the scheming gold digger that I was accused of being. Once I realised it was not his looks or fascinating conversation that I wanted, I just said bye bye....silly me.huh?

Not a mistake but a regret - listening to my aunt (through marriage) "because she was a nurse" that we should take it in shifts to stay with my grandad. Went home, made a brew got a phone call so rushed back to hospital. It was too late. By not even 2 minutes.

She suggested we did the same with my nan & I told her to piss off

Loads of big mistakes.

Trying to be liked in school instead of getting good grades, years of shit jobs.

Buying the air pistol, that ultimately wrecked any chance of a decent career. A mate shot me with it, failed the forces medical to be an officer.

Not going to Australia when I had the chance, my uncle wouldn't sponsor me to work for him.

giving up on things, when the fun went out of them.

Not buying houses in 1970.. could have really made a killing.. My cousins house was 3500 pound.. Our first house was 11,700 pounds in 1973 goodness me if only we had known.

Actually probably no regrets.

Way back in the late 80s I dated a truly lovely girl. She was both beautiful and kind. Always smiling a real gem of a girl. I ended the relationship when I went away with the army. My excuse was that we were to young. In reality I didn't want to settle down and wanted the single squaddie life. She cried her eyes out when I told her and I just walked away. Even now I regret what I did. I know that she is very happy now and has a wonderful husband and children but I still beat myself up at how we split up. I should have shown more compassion. I acted terribly.

It will always be my one regret.
