I always find it interesting as to what people like to spend their money on. So what do you spend more than the next person on? Motorbikes? Handbags? Bicycles? Computers? Whisky?

"Mostly the children, just spent around £500 on the eldest two for their clubs and camping trips, not much left for me at the moment."

Kids here too!!! But worth it to see them having fun with their friends & gives us all a break.

It's a big year family wise - had my 40th, my brother's 30th, his wedding soon then my dad's 60th so lots of happy expense.

Also our holiday - I spent 4 yrs saving so really looking forward to it.

I do have a soft spot for shoes & underwear. If I have spare money that's where it tends to go

Car audio is by far the biggest thing I spend on.

Did new door speakers in the front a couple of months back and totalled around £1200. Once you get into the high end models, prices get pretty ridiculous.

Our fixed expenditure is quite low so we enjoy the money we earn and have a jolly good time doing so.

I find it really interesting what other people chose to spend their money on. Obviously you think its worth it to spend that on car speakers, but another person might say that was crazy and then go on to spend £2,000 on a bicycle for example, which you might then say is a crazy amount to spend.

People think I'm mad, but it's what interests me, since I get hammered for insurance on fast cars, I built a loud car instead

when we go out to car shows and modified meets, the buzz from the crowd attention and people wanting demos makes it worth every penny.

Since getting into this, understand a lot more that there's money in anything. Car audio, cycling, playing an instrument etc.

When your into the high end stuff everything is expensive.

I would dream of spending £1000+ on car audio although I do like my music.

BUT I would spend £2000+ for a ringside seat to a fight which could last seconds!!

The joys of life!!!

If we all did the same thing life would be incredibly boring!

Overall my set up is relatively low key in the grand scheme of things. Probably about £4000 into it over 3 years.

I know of guys running £30,000 worth of audio

You get into the realms of walled cars with 4 or 6 subs at £1200 each, 3 amps at £2000 each, batteries, wiring etc.

Then the fabrication costs to make the car physically able to withstand the pressure and literally not split apart.

It gets crazy

Oh yeah, camera equipment can be very expensive, easy to sink a lot of money into it with bodies, lenses, flashes, tripods, radio syncs, etc etc etc.

Clothes mainly but I intend to stop this. I waste so much money on clothes I probably wear once.

For the next few years I am going to travel to places I've always wanted to, while I'm still fit enough.

This year I'm going to Hong Kong, next year Japan, also want to go to Sri Lanka and Malaysia. I'd rather have experiences than a new dress to add to the vast amount I have.

But then I see dresses in the sale......

Just waste it then !!!

How's that a waste!??

Hows that a good way to spend it ? Gold is a much better investment although silver has done well

Spend, not invest

So I was right then waste..

I take it you don't buy anything? Or is ownership theft?

Waste it on food and washing supplies ..."

What a waste of a life.

Money is cheap time is precious

"Used to be bikes, my most expensive one being worth more than my car was at the time at over £2500 back about 1 years ago, still have 3 bikes now so that not too bad.

Now I spend my spare money on air rifles for HFT target shooting, currently I have 7 rifles in my cupboard all scoped up and ready to go... lol"

Have you missed some figures out of this?

"Bicycles,bicycle stuff,bicycle clothing & kit.

Just bought a new bike on Friday, only a cheap one though, £300 for a Holdsworth singlespeed to bob around on.

Last SS bike was stolen so this is a replacement/treat to myself.

Justified buying it as its only 10-15% of the price of some of my other bikes "

Dont forget to buy a lock or this one will be stolen too!

I spend far too much money - I find it really hard to say no to myself!

I usually have most things I want ( within reason! )

Clothes, shoes , nice food , wine and holidays

Yeah, learnt that lesson - cable locks,no matter how chunky are really vulnerable to bolt croppers. Heavy duty chain & padlock now.
