"Recent polls indicates that 50+ voters are leaning towards an out vote, they must remember the good old days pre common market then I guess.." The result of the 1975 EU referendum was pretty conclusive .....

"It would help if you guys define yourselves a little more." i've got low education but high IQ. so idk what that survey says about me in the first place...i'm not voting. figured out me voting will not affect what the government will do anyway. i'm not pretending i support this government either by playing their bullshit games.

"It's reported that the lower your education and intelligence levels and the higher your age, the more likely you are to vote to leave the EU. And conversely, the opposite. Typical for you? " Does it really matter

The incumbent Labour government of that time was elected by the people.... The people were given a free choice to decide our EU future and made their choice accordingly... So surely the blame if any.... partly lies with the people.....

I would love to know where this report comes from by the way.... after all it is "reported", where, is it reported, or is this just another "I am voting one way and anyone who votes the other way is a thicko thread"? Seems a little daft and almost reinforcing the juvenile nature that both campaigns have been run thus far..... ....still I am sure that the "report" is a credible source On a side-note, it's healthy to debate; reasoned arguments based on facts or personal opinions, but perhaps one should be clear whether it is a fact, or a report, or a personal opinion......

" Ah the age old "people who disagree with me are thickos" argument reminiscent of any playground. Says more about the person saying it than it does about the person being called the thicko.

"Source credibility - US media during breakfast, which I've just finished. . I'd assumed it was being discussed in the UK. Not Fox news btw. And I take little from the media as credible. " The poll comes from YOUGOV, the people that got the general election so very wrong: https://yougov.co.uk/news/2015/05/08/general-election-opinion-polls-brief-post-mortem/ I am at university (again) at the moment; and I was surprised to say that 50% of the people I spoke to were in favour of voting out with about 25% undecided, I asked them about reducing their reach to a greater job market and they didn't seem too concerned as all countries in the EU are suffering massive unemployment and reduction in businesses since the economic crash; with many staples of european employment now seen as a poor choice. They actually seemed more in favour in reducing the amount of EU professionals coming to the UK as our wages and conditions are generally higher/better and therefore wanted to reduce the competition to their own job market. Again, I am reviewing what (little) actual evidence there is to help me decide, but it just seems to be full of scare-mongering (both sides), bigotry (one side) and false promises...
