All you Labour voters out there...just think if Britain votes to come out then Cameron is going to have to resign, the Tory party will descend into anarchy...a bit like the Labour party!...and there may be a General Election! That will give you a chance to see how loved Mr Corbyn is by the electorate!

This issue is much bigger than a party political pissing contest. Neither side can be trusted to tell the truth. Corbyn has always been an avid Brexit advocate, now making speeches to remain.

We are all being used as a grand social experiment in a global industrial oligarchy.

We need to be self determining.

Seems a tad churlish to call for a Prime minister to lose their job for delivering a manifesto pledge to give the people a right to decide the outcome of an EU referendum...

I don't think it makes the slightest difference who you vote for, strolling down the road to put your mark on a piece of paper has always been an illusion for the most!. Last week in Yorkshire 4000 local people voted no to their area being fracked with 36 people voting for it... I'll let you guess what they got?

I'm not condoning those that do it, I'm just saying in the main it makes very little difference!.

If you look at countries with half decent democratic processes and outcomes they tend to have half decent turnout.

Turnout doesn't just drop through the floor for no reason!

Only a couple of years ago, I would of disagreed with you vehemently. I would of said that we should vote and it's the only way to get our voices heard.

But now, I actually agree with you. I think democracy is mostly dead and the argument that the EU is undemocratic is a bit of a white elephant. For most of us uk elections mean nothing. A two party system that does nothing for the common person but lines the pockets of career politicians.

Does it really matter for most of us if we are in or out? Probably not. It just depends which set of liars you want fleecing the citizens.

Former Labour Leader Welsh Windbag Neil Kinnock spent 20 years speaking out against the EU and was vehemently against it!,But then he, Mrs Kinnock & their son all got lucrative jobs in Brussels on the gravy train and are rolling in monety!,our money!,they say we are better off in EU but they do not mean You or me,just that THEY are better off by us staying in the EU,Typical champagne socialists!.

Has Corbyn got a Brussels job lined up too?.

Of course they cannot be trusted to tell the truth...they are politicians! None of them think that the electorate is capable of making up its own mind. Even if we vote to come out, they will probably try and tell us that we made a mistake and need to do it all over again...until we give them the answer they want! Remember Irish referendum on EU?

That's a sad attitude to say it does not matter. It matters that the British people can vote on British laws! At least we can get rid of a government even if it does take 5 years. We cannot get rid of the EU commissioners who make all the laws in Brussels and then send them over here!

Besides your cynical attitude does more to encourage voter apathy imho. While turnout was low in 2001 after many Old Labour supporters felt conned by New Labour, and the Tories continued to bicker over Europe, it has been steadily picking up and is now comparable with most democracies in the world.

But just think, if you stood, and convinced the 33% (who don't currently vote) to vote for you, you'd probably win. Isn't that why Corbyn is exciting for politics?

Or would you rather sit back and moan?

I'm not sure half the current Labour politicians wouldn't prefer Cameron to Corbyn!

Besides, I thought the threat for retribution from his back-benchers was only if Cameron wins, so you're voting the wrong way

I see a totally different scenario developing I'm afraid. One in which Boris has done himself serious damage, IDS has hopefully done sufficient damage to Osborne, and we end up with someone sensible.

Cameron's going either way, he has always said so.

Cameron is standing down before 2020 anyway but he'll have to do it at least a year before the next GE in order to give the new leader a chance to show what he or she can do, and that person will be a sitting prime minister don't forget. My bet is that he'll go by this time next year.

Turnout has risen in every election since 2001. We live in a constituency that was Tory in 1997, but I still always vote. If everyone did the same, maybe it would make a difference, don't you see? Especially since those that don't vote are more likely to be left-wing.

Exactly this....a Brown promised a referendum before ever signing another EU treaty. Six months later he signed the Lisbon Treaty....giving away a shit load more law making powers th EU beaurocrats..... At least Cameron has kept his word! (Even if he is lying all sorts of scaremongering crap)

No maybe im confusing you...I don't think there's any difference in party politics.

You seem to belive that elected officials are voting on your best interests, I don't, I don't think anybody would have voted for ww1 or Vietnam, I don't think people would have voted for their local area being fracked... And I don't think it would have mattered if they had voted no.

So voter turnout increased slightly during a financial crises, no real difference was made

I don't know if any of you heard the debate between Alex Salmond and IDS on the Iain Dale show on LBC yesterday. Salmond was screaming in his normal way campaigning for the remain side. IDS cal my put across a very reasoned argument to leave by countering salmods argument with facts and figures. He put Salmond in his place over self determination and self government quoting Salmonds own previous statements. Changing his stance on Europe and UK government as to whether it coincided with his views or not.
