Would you agree with this statement.

Halleluya is a popular song sung by leonard cohen/jeff buckley et al that is commonly known especially to people over 35 regardless of your favourite genre.

No I think many people from all age groups know of it now, especially as it has been popularised by xfactor type shows on both sides of the Atlantic.

I find most covers of it to be weak, soulless and insipid - but then I know it from the original by the composer, love him or loathe him, he gives his songs their character and spirit.
