People often speak about their 'type' on here, the sort of person they go for, the kind who excites them, stimulates them, and just makes them feel GOOD. Everyone has a type, some covering a wider variety than others, my question is, do YOU think you're your types type?

I know what I like, my standards are rather high, not ridiculously so, and sometimes I question whether or not I'm actually at that level myself, a bit like a person who has a taste for fine steak, but only so much money in their pocket - so how do you make more? Do you seek to improve yourself in whatever way you can to make yourself more attractive to these people, or do you reevaluate your standards, and choose a different type?

I don't have a physical type but I do tend to meet people I would describe as like-minded in terms of personality. That's why my profile is vague as to what I'm looking for; I can't exactly define it.

Guess I do have a type of lady I like but most of the time if I am honest I look at someone picture and think, wow someone that hot isn't going to look at me twice.

So I never contact them, maybe I should but I think you have to live in the real world and not kid yourself.

I'm similar to Ligeia, I don't have a specific type but I am attracted to certain people & luckily enough the feeling is usually mutual.

I tend to go for like minded individuals who I'll have something in common with, always a good place to start imo.

Wouldn't really say I have a type and if I did judging from past experience I need to change it if I did. I like woman with brains. Yes it's true in the 1st instance we all go for looks but personally I know a good looking girl turns very ugly very quickly if she has no personality. Having said that I'm quite happy on my own so unless Mrs right comes charging up to sweep me off my feet (ye right) it really isn't that important

So you only contact women you don't think are hot then?

"Do you seek to improve yourself in whatever way you can to make yourself more attractive to these people, or do you reevaluate your standards, and choose a different type?"

I'd say you're best improving yourself for you. Whatever may follow is all well and good but you wake up you, and you go to sleep you. Make that as good a deal as it can be, and hope for the best with others.

The question was - 'Are you your type's type?'

It's not possible to give an answer as I am me and not the someone else.

Who knows who individuals we haven't even met yet, fancy?

A workable answer would be......

I will be the type for some of my type but not the type for all of my type.

Physically, yeah I think I'm my type's type.

Mentally, I think I go for guys smarter than myself (a bit out of my league in that sense). I still wonder why Marc wanted to be with me. But that's more for relationships and friends than sex on fab.

...Up on the Downs

I have a type, but I never know what will attract me to someone - many different qualities or attributes have, and I am open to that.

I attract a fair amount of my type - when I was 'out there' on the pull I may not have always got the best-looking guy in the room but the sexiest ones always made a beeline for me

Interesting question

I definitely have a type, although I rarely attract men of that type. In fact I've always attracted the exact opposite. Yes, I am constantly re-evaluating myself to attract that type….so far I've concluded I'm just not in the right circles since I left my last job.

How do you ever really know…unless you find someone & ask them???

I do agree with the whole be the best you can be for yourself thing, but I'm still not satisfied with that answer alone - justifying your value as a person will always have to be measured somewhat against the views of those around you, otherwise how are you any different to a psychopath, not placing value on the values of others?

Bobby you're not intelligent enough to identify either common sense or bullshit, your every contribution to my threads is a transparent, clumsy snipe at myself, in which you fail to achieve anything other than make yourself look increasingly stupid each time, kindly just go away, thankyou.

Oh I'm not saying place no value on those things - but they are more likely to take root when you cultivate yourself, as opposed to expending energy on a chase while you go malnourished.

Take it to the other extreme; if you throw everything into the pursuit of others, what do they see in you to find value from? There's no 'you' to be had.

It's tougher these days particularly with social media urging everything to be compared to everything else (and as quickly as possible too), but there's something to be said for getting the foundations right, and building a strong inner life.

I agree with what you're saying, I think we're all really trying to find that harmony inside and out, being able to satisfy our own needs whilst not taking those of others for granted, and at the same time seeking to offer out and be appreciated by those around us. We need to understand and embrace those things in order to truly become the best that we can be, someone who is happy in themselves, happy with their place in the world, in a world that is happy to have them.

You seem to have persecution mania Brian, I was simply congratulating Granny on hitting the nail on the head, rather than going around the houses as some have a tendency to do.

I am far from stupid and I will post in an open forum if I want, with or without your permission.

I don't think about if I'm better looking or not than anyone else.

So I don't have any levels or put people in a "league" etc.

I like who I like and never think am I attractive enough for that person or are they attractive enough for me.

So never experienced what your talking about tbh.

Maybe some others think they are too good for me though ?? Lol

But that probably says more about them than me

If they only fuck middle aged fat women who suck cock well and like anal, probably.

It's a difficult one for me because I don't have a type; I'm one of those people who fuck "anything" and can't always put a finger on why I find someone attractive enough to rim or ride.

Same here. Intellectual or social link is far more important than a physical connection for us. That's why we don't specify looks and our age limits are fluid.

That could be the reason I've never been married and have no children. I've dated the ladies with a face that could light up a room. But the brains of a fish.
