Anyone seen this film and wondered how many bombs clint eastwood and richard burton had considering the size of their back packs. Tried google but no joy.

thats normal for a lot of war films and westerns, a tommy gun would only last a few seconds on constant fire, colt 45 in westerns 6 in barrel ive watch films getting 10 shots out

Dirty Harry should have used a film gun, he wouldn't have had to worry over whether he had fired six times or only five

That's classic in its own right.

Richard Burton reading, what a voice.

Never before in the history of the world had such a mass of human beings moved and suffered together. This was no disciplined march, it was a stampede, without order and without a goal, six million people, unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilization, of the massacre of mankind....ullah

Little known (or perhaps not) fact: Clint Eastwood "killed" more people in Where Eagles Dare than he did in all of the Dirty Harry films put together!!

The helicopter seen landing in the castle courtyard is a Bell model 47G, not built until well after the war.

Not only that but something is written in a notebook but when the German rifles through it (haha) there's nothing there so the editing is shit too.

Congratulations... Although practically no helicopters were in use at all during ww2 anyhow, they were cutting edge stuff in the late 30s

To be fair, my knowing to Google IMDB Goofs Section shouldn't win prizes

Having been brought up on Dr.Who and Blake's 7, I've always had an ability to ignore technicalities in favour of the overall story
