Hey,

It really pisses me off when I see this as a status as it's just purely attention seeking.

If someone is not happy and wants to leave the site...then ADIOS.

FACT. They will still be here next month and the month after.

Does anyone agree or is it just me?

Grantham

I chuckle inside if I see one.

Death, murder, cruelty to animals and children is the stuff that really pisses me off

In your bed

To be fair, they may have made friends with some people and fancy letting them know they are leaving.

You get status updates listed on your updates page so it's a quick and easy way to say goodbye to all your friends on here.

But they don't leave, this is my whole point

The last "Goodbye" thread I read was mostly filled with folk telling the OP to get on with it and leave already.

I felt a bit sorry for the OP, but not for long as Eastenders was on.

A far better leaving statement would be... SLATFATF

If that is the case you send them a message - or phone them (if they are friends as opposed to 'friends' then they should have your number).

I think this situation happens on any kind of forum/social network where people ultimately seek other's approval.

Over the years I've been a member of many sites, both mainstream and adult and it's always the same.

A more interesting way to spend your time is looking for contradictions in profiles which insist you read them

The only time I worry about what folk on here are doing is when they are doing it to me.
