Ggggrrrrrr is it only me that hates them? Got a bit burnt pottering round the carboot yesterday and now have odd tan lines as my maxi dress had a little tie that goes round my neck...not sure it's normal how annoyed I am about it lol

As a red head myself I get scald lines.. No tan ever, unless it's from a bottle.. And I just can't stand that stuff.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

For those of us of the blindingly white complexion could you explain what 'tan lines' are?

As a cyclist I end up with razor sharp tan lines on upper arms and thighs every year. This year's are coming along nicely

...Up on the Downs

I envy men being able to just take their shirts off, but anything is better than a naff fake tan! I've got some lines after catching the sun at the weekend

I like tanlines especially on the bottom half where there is evidence of a string bikini

Very nice indeed

You Dont Need to Know, right now

I hate tan lines, but men seem to love them on women. When in the chat room, on holiday, men are obsessed with asking to see my tan lines. Weird or what?

I actually like a tan line, I turn a bit golden in the sun (it's a bit weird, not brown, more what I describe as "like the ladies that do lunch from Surrey), as if I am fake tanning it.....

However I like the colour, and having spent much of my life overseas, the last couples of years have seen me more white than tanned...

But I like the look of my body when I have been out in the sun, and I peel back my shorts to reveal the contrast between the white and the tan, don't know why... just makes me feel happy

I do miss the "leatherettes" from the county of Surrey..... but I can now spot them when they come down to visit the poor in Devon

I'll make sure they pop round with a nice jar of marmalade for you

Tan lines, on removing someone's clothing (or already on view) wouldn't be a deal breaker....

I lay in the garden fully naked for an hour each day, have done so for past few weeks due to this great weather and the tan is coming along fine (no white bits)
