New house alterations.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Thankfully, I`m not in the position to want to move but here`s the scenario. You`ve just bought a new house that is 99.9% perfect but there`s one or two things that will have to go!

For me? Butler sinks! Horrible things! Would make me reach for the sledge hammer before I`d even ordered a replacement! Reason for this is there used to be one in my house and for as long as I can remember, it had a piece chipped off it that Dad had managed to stick back on! If you dropped anything remotely breakable in it you could be sure it would break!

And ......... conifer hedging! Where`s me chainsaw????!!!!!!

What's wrong with butler sinks? I quite like them and Belfast ones, in the right kinda kitchen.

Two biggest jobs I've had to do are redoing the wooden floor, and Japanese knot treatment.

When I first moved in the whole place was painted in an electric lime green gloss!

I have a lot of green but not that shade or on the woodwork.

If I have time and money I would replace the toilet.

It's awfully invasive, and can cause some properly heated arguments. Best when it's dead.

There have been problems with some lenders and insurance companies refusing to mortgages and cover with Japanese Knot.

Yep, and also if you don't control it and it spreads to a neighbour, you are responsible for any damage it does and the cost of removal (thousands in some cases).
