Wow that's a great loss!!!! Well done you! I'm doing about 1lb a week and I dance, Pilates and water aerobics once a week, mile and half lunch time walk during the week and cycling and walking on weekends. Not gonna lie, I'm knackered, but needs must

Two years ago I was approaching 17st and I'd get out of breath doing my shoelaces up. Today I'm just under 15st, almost a 34" waist again for the first time in 25 years and I feel fitter and healthier than I have in a long long time. I'm happy.

Two and a half years ago i wasin a great shape. 36 waist with a 20 inch neck and 54 chest and was tipping 19st on the scales. Then had an accident which left me with no feeling in my right leg. I piled the pounds on and shot up to a 44 waist and had quite a bit of muscle wastage. After a motorcycle accident in january i currently have to wear a brace on my left leg. I got determined to get back into shape. I lost 2 stone in the first 8 weeks until i developed complications in my leg. Back on in now. Hoping to lose to lose the moobs soon

I love a bodyweight excercise, but I find it difficult to progress easily, (for example, where do you go once you can rep out 30 pressups? Uneven pressups with a ball are an option, maybe close grip ones, but its not clear cut) whereas progressive overload is easy with a bar, you just slap more weight on. Have you ever looked at "convict conditioning"? That's all bodyweight stuff.

No never heard of it tbh, I will google that...

Well ly workout routine are quite simple...

Start with 6reps of 10 dips with 21s or rest between then 6 reps of 15 diamons press ups then 6x5 indian press ups... something like that

It used to be that if you googled it, the first hit you got was a pdf of the whole thing, if you ignore all the nacho bollocks chapters about life "in the pen" and look at the progressions the are pretty good, they go from excercises my granny could do (and she's dead!) all the way to handstand pushups/pistol squats/muscle ups....

No - I can squat 140KG on the bar for 2 reps. I should see if I can do 100 bodyweight squats, it'd be interesting.

Wow s been ages since ive posted..

i suffered quite heavily with water and gained over a stone. The water made it painful to walk let alone exercise.

After seeing my GP he finally gave me water tablets (ive kidney disease)

The water is vanishing and im back t doing walking and dancing round my living room with hand weights Fit Bit is keeping me on track... ive lost 5.5 lb over the last 2 weeks .. roll on more losses in the next few weeks.

Id love to be back at the 3 stone total loss by the end of July 3

I've now lost over 1 1/2 stone, plus my swimming is getting better and better as I'm pushing myself to increase by 3 lengths every session. It's the little improvements that drive me, running up stairs and seeing the definition slowly in my abs. It's all heading in the right direction and it's making me feel very positive

I joined Slimming World and not looked back, i also bought myself a fitbit which keeps me motivated to be active.

The GP will often refer you to Slimming World if you ask for it, then you get 12 weeks 'free'

I love the plan because i still get the comfort of carbs when i need them and nothing is off limits. I love the group support and the feeling i am not alone in this journey. x

Still doing the same routine and losing weight nice and slowly. Clothes are hanging but not quite ready for the next size down yet as they will be a tad tight, so another month or two and I should be just one clothes size (1.5st) away from where I want to be

Did you plateau because you are at the bottom of a cut? Deloading can be effective, depending on how far in you are...

I've been on a plateau for a while, lost strength in some cases, should hit my target weight next week and then it's time to reverse diet out of this cut and engage beast mode..

I'll probably carry on strength training until my lifts start to increase again and then do a hypertrophy programme.

Been going out for my early morning training ride where I keep a high speed/cadence for between 80-90 minutes.. that's what I call the "medicine" even though I do enjoy it.

Then riding for leisure/fun in the afternoons either with friends or solo.

Yesterday I managed to burn thru over 3400 calories on my near 80 miles while I was at it and I'm feeling better than ever at the moment.

Leg day for me today. Training hasn't been as good recently due to a shoulder injury.

Can't wait to smash some squat and to try out my new prework out drink!

I deload every 4th week.

Sometimes your body just needs a rest from heavy intensity.

I was eating whatever I wanted to keep energy up and make sure I was running at a calorific surplus.

Wasn't worried about aesthetics just about amount of weight being moved.

Now it's volume ( hypertrophy), mobility for 12 weeks

Maybe a bit of crossfit wods too.

Then back to strength.

Ps have a masters in s and c

You wouldn't also happen to be doing 5/3/1 would you?

Once I reach my target bf%, I'll run "shortcut to size" because I don't think I got the most out of it last time (bulked too fast), then I want to try PHUL.

Yes mate

5/3/1 with a few tweaks here and there.

It's an excellent programme. Once you've done it for a while you can adapt and change it to what best suits you.

I've been pushing myself every time that I go swimming and today I broke the 1km distance (1050to be exact), I'm so pleased and I'm feeling fitter and healthier than I have done in about 10 years! Tie that in with the fact that I'm sub 14' for the first time in forever and I'm feeling really pleased. Just wanted to share!

Whilst I try and stay healthy, I do end up scoffing lots of bad but tasty nosh!

I don't train or go to the gym, but I play football regularly. surf a lot and occasionally do a bit of off road biking. So I guess I am relatively fit.

Stop drinking liquids for 24 Hours and sweat and piss more? Such stupid and dangerous advice!

To the person who asked the question, take whatever reading on Wednesday as it comes. Doing what is suggested above will give you an inaccurate weight loss as you will put it all back on when you start taking fluids on board again. If it's not as much as you'd hoped for its not the end of the world. Review what you did this week and make small, sustainable changes in the coming week.

Dangerous? Ok because every athletic that has ever had a weigh in has never dehydrated to "cheat" a weigh in 24 hours before.

Of corse it will give you an inaccurate weigh in but there isn't much dieting you can do in 2 days that will make a significant difference.

Quite.

If you haven't actually lost any weight, then suck it up and accept it. Stick to the plan next week and continue moving forward.

No point in cheating yourself.

I don't want to cheat it , want a more effective way for the next two days . I'm on sw and doing very well and been on plan just feeling a little bloated and puffy so would love to see a large loss this week to keep me going

Il cut down on the carbs for sure and I think maybe up my water in take

Definitely up the water intake, especially if you are rating a lot of fibrous veg as that can help with cert issues

I find that if I drink between 2-3 litres of water a day i have fairly good losses at weigh in. I try to steer clear of carbs generally and my losses suffer if I eat pasta or potatoes a lot.

The original response is cut and pasted straight from Google.

Ive dehydrated before the weigh in for a fight in the past. You need to rehydrate properly afterwards.

I would also point out this isn't a good way to cut weight.

"Weigh in weds morning any tips to loose an extra pound or two between now and then anyone ?"

Without knowing what you have eaten for the previous few days it's hard to gauge.

If you've been naughty and eaten lots of carbs your body could be holding water. You could drop carbs and take a natural diuretic like dandelion root. Increase fibrous carbs (veg). Don't eat fruit (sugar) and low complex carbs.

Pretty much you need to accept. It. There's no point at this stage in trying to increase water to lose it.

your dreams

I'm two months in to project: get my body back to where it was 15 years ago.

I think I'm doing okay I take the dog out twice a day, I go out on my bike for at least 5 miles everyday and I do 45 minutes of muscle toning exercises and of course all the running about life entails.

On the whole I'm quite pleased with my progress.

My triceps seem to be lagging behind though.

And I'm hoping that in another month I will be able to start running again..

Triceps! Two things take is slowly. Squeeze at the contraction and control the negative part of the exercise.
