It really frustrates me that every guy gets treated with suspision and not trusted from the off. What ever happened to trust is there to b lost. Not jump threw 1000 hoops and then u may get a chance. Go with a gut feeling never fails .

in that quite alot of people dont.meet anyone with out them...but if everyone had that attitude no one wud get a look in. Yet they all must start without them so they must have been.given a chance by someone

Second, why all men? If one man out of 3.5 billion turns out to be a twat, why does that mean the other 3,499,999,999 are also twats? Why not blame it on him wearing glasses, or not. Or him having short hair, or not.

Not just Guys...I had a MF Couple coming over last Wednesday. Been speaking to them for 4 or 5 days about it, all very positive until about 4pm on the day when it all went quiet.....guess what!

im not blaming anyone im saying men getting treated like everyones last bad exsperience and have to earn trust where trust sud b there to b lost. One fuck.up etc then do one. Not prove 1000s tasks i set then u may get a chanxe

A lot of people get fed up of time wasters on here, so want to avoid that. And single women particularly may be looking for veris as a reassurance about their safety during a meet. Not that that's a guarantee at all, but it can make you feel a little better.

I have met men socially and given them a first verification but I now tell them to just show the tick.

Your experience may be shared by others but that doesn't mean it is about giving men a raw deal. Communication is a two way process.

On the veri issue, it's s spot everyone is in at some point. I think it might even be harder for women to get their first veri as many men think it's another man on a female profile.

I got my first veri off a woman who said she'd never meet a man without any veris. Hey presto she met me anyway, and I turned out to be real and everything.

I am a newbie and it is difficult at first getting the hang of things!

I made mistakes! It takes time feeling comfortable and being yourself!

I do spend most of my time in the forums, reading and having a laugh, I do not message people very often, but now! when I do, I take my time to message and ensure that any message is sincere and genuine....it may fail miserably but that is irrelevant....swallow your pride, forget your needs/wants.....enjoy the site and if it happens, it happens it happens, just show respect!

it just makes you realise that you don't know anyone that well on here and that anyone can be 'that guy' who you shouldn't trust.

first time i had a shitty encounter with a guy off here i carried on, the second time i stopped meeting as much. well i only meet guys i already trust and am taking my time with new guys and yeah they do have to prove i can trust them now. it's sensible to do that.

and that is after meeting idk how many men but it's well over 100 decent non-rapey ones.

Just my opinion but you don't start off trusting complete strangers of the internet,that trust is built over time by both parties being truthful with each other and doing what you say you're gonna do.

You need to build trust to start with not give it automatically....I'd call that being naive.

People get meets without veris.

If you're having issues then consider changing your approach or the pattern of who and how you're selecting others.

As we mature as a culture then people do share experience and tips. If you just rely on the web it's potentially harder than if you're out physically socialising and meeting others at socials and clubs.

There are some risks for females that are higher, so safety will be a concern. People would on average prefer a user to be verified imo, so consider how you could make non-sexual friends and meets too.

Apart from just timewasters after the awful experiences I have had meeting men on the internet I would have to be mad to trust anyone especialy straight away. Being too nice, feeling sorry for someone or feeling obliged to meet someone has been my mistake.
