It's perfectly normal! Best show there's ever been on tv and it only gets better......

I'd question whether your other half's judgement needs to be questioned seriously...

Ha!

We'd never heard of it (don't watch much telly) then someone recommended it to us, we switched it off after about five minutes, wasn't for us we thought. Was told to give the episode a chance which we did, hooked ever since. A visually, brilliant programme with a lot of creativity and quality (our opinions of course).

Have you seen the Walking Dead series? You might just like that too, very, very good.

Enjoy

Love both shows. Was fished-in by TWD pilot instantly. GoT took a little longer, round about the time when Ros appeared..

Funnily enough, never watched the TV show, but devoured the books in no time at all. Just treat them as two different though similar stories and everything will be fine...

(Winds of Winter will be coming out... before I die? Maybe?)

Ms G has watched it (and read the books) since it first aired but I never had any interest until I half watched one of those "50 Greatest Game Of Thrones Moments" on TV, and decided to give it a go...

...that was 5 weeks ago...and a habit of two episodes a night later I'm now having to wait till Monday's for my fix. Absolutely stunning programme, great storylines, beautifully shot, up there with The Walking Dead as my favourite TV currently.

When i first got watching Game of Thrones I was three seasons behind, I spent 2 days in a row watching every single episode. I got about 4 hours sleep. it was magical.

If your on series one and hooked wait till you get up to date you send July till April sweating with withdrawal waiting for the next season put simply it is the best show I think has ever been made

Love the look of GoT, how sensuous is Melisandre?

Think GoT is slowly challenging TWD for the top spot, we'll see what happens when TWD returns.

Watched the first 2 seasons in about 2 weeks. Hubby isn't into it, he just nods and smiles while I rant and rave about it and then just asks "so, is everyone dead yet?".

As someone said to me today, we're getting to a crux stage, where the important people are important for a reason, they are setting up for the end-game. Now just let me untangle this Meereeneese knot...

"Don't want no spoilers but Sean beans dead then?? No more ned stark??"

Yup. Dead as a doornail. Having your head chopped off will do that. Makes a change for old Sean from being shot through with arrows, or falling off a cliff, or a big radio telescope, or shot in the face, or choked by a chain, or ripped apart. He really does die a lot, doesn't he?

(I'm assuming you've got to the end of Season One and so this isn't a spoiler, or else, why were you asking?)

A friend was cross when I slipped and told him so & so died in the walking dead.

To which I said: mate, it's a zombie apocalypse! Everybody dies

I was so annoyed by everyone talking about it I gave it a go being 4 seasons behind.....

Wow.... Oh wow.... Hooked!

My advice for anyone who hasn't given it a go..... Watch it from the beginning... Yes the first half of season 1 is very slow... But stick with it!

To be fair there was a lot to cover. Only after my third viewing and reading the books did I pick up on everything lol
