It's just not logical. Mr Spock considers the EU!

Some of the arguments put forward by both sides just defy logic!

The remain campaign on migrants contributions to our economy.

On same day "spokes people" (Tory ministers etc.) stated that EU migrants were not taking jobs from UK workers as they "mostly" took low paid jobs that UK workers don't want to do. I'm sure there is much truth in this, although many agencies seem to target Eastern Europe when recruiting so UK residents don't even get the option.

But they also stated that EU migrants were net contributors. But IF they are mostly in low paid jobs then they pay sod all in taxes, probably get given more in tax credits and also use all our services such as education and health etc. they CANNOT be net contributors.

Leave campaign say we pay £350 million a week to the EU (18.2 billion a year if you do the maths). But they also say £8billion a year. No consistency as one figure (Boris bus) is the gross contribution. I assume the other figure is broadly correct if you take into account the amount of the rebate and the part of our money we get back in various grants etc.? Consistency would be nice!

Remain say the immigration figures would not change if we leave. One guy on sky the other day said it would actually go up? That's obviously nonsense!

Trade deals would be harder to negotiate if we were out? That sounds like bollocks too! 9 years for EU to sort out a deal with Canada. Even longer and still not sorted one with USA ( and looking like a total disaster of a deal anyway? TTIP.....NO THANKS). Why? Because 28 countries all throwing there little bit in and complicating things. Surely much, much, easier and quicker, for a single country to sort out a deal.

.

Has anyone else actually taken the time to look at some of the arguments from a purely logical point of view? So many holes in both sides arguments....feel free to add your own!

Brighton - even Hove!

No one knows what will happen. An educated guess can be made. Short term negative impact, long term economic success is what I think.

Essex.

Logically if we are in the EU we don't need our own government...

So DC should man up, if he is so pro EU and say UK government or EU...
