I rang 101 about a problem and the GP got back to me earlier ,i explained what was wrong ,and he said ,its because of the weather,its hot and humid and these thunderstorms with the heavy rain dont help..I said where are you lol and he said Bristol ,i said what part ,and he was in the same area as me ,i havent heard a bang and we havent had any rain,unbelievable,i only rang about me mums catheter ,what the heck as that got to do with thunderstorms. I dont think he felt well

You always hear bad stuff about 111 but it's always been useful for me. I had a bad allergic reaction to a tick bite and got a GP appointment within 2 hours. Handy.

I ended up sorting it myself ,it was just so strange,he said he's ringing back ,i said its ok dont bother

yes i totally agree with you ,they have always been great,but on this occasion i dont know what went wrong.

You get through to a call operator first and they ask you details etc,and she said the doctor will call you back in around 6 hours,i put the phone down and the doc rang 5 mins later.

Can't work all the time, maybe he was just a bit nutty, but it is good on the whole. Plus it saves waiting hours at A&E.

Very true ,but our Nhs is pushed to the limit .
